If you're a straight man you'll probably love this show and that must account for the generally high rating. There are a thousand bare breasts and that's about as deep as this show goes. The writing in particular is predictable and shallow which is especially disappointing for an HBO show. The entire premise is how often the 'guys' can get laid with a never ending stream of women. The characters are really more caricatures though all of the same type - 5 different two-dimensional guys. The scenes and story lines also seem to circle around with several seasons having some variation of a previous plot line. It's a disappointment all around.

What an interesting movie this could have been! But instead of teaching us about it, they presented lots of pretty pictures and not much substance. 5 minutes will pass with no dialogue and the camera simply panning in or out. The pictures are beautiful, so if that's your thing, you'll love it. If you want to learn anything about this phenomenon or about habitat or species destruction or adaptation to how humans of changed our planet and environment, then you'll have to look elsewhere. It was a real shame since there is so much to say and show about this topic and it could have been a very edifying experience.

The problem with this series is that it is just not funny. And I don't mean "not very funny" or "funny enough" but funny at all. Most of the time I was staring at the screen wondering how this series got made at all. It's a shame since the original series was pretty good. This series will only appeal (and barely) to those that loved the show before.
