Charodei (1982)
modern musical Christmas fairy tale
This movie is a modern fairy tale. The story happens in an institute of magic during Christmas time. the girl (Alena) is supposed to marry to Ivan. However, an envious person makes to think to her boss that Alena is in love with the boy friend of the boss in question, who decides to bewitch Alena. The only way to save her is to be kissed by Ivan. I liked this movie because of the humorous way of presenting the intrigue. It is amusing and refreshing. The dialogs and expressions are funny.
Granatovyy braslet (1965)
nice classical movie
If you like classical old fashion movies, you will like this one. Personally I liked it, however I found it a little short. This is a story of a poor young man falling in love with a very rich woman. The story is really touching.
Moskva slezam ne verit (1980)
Very good movie
This was one of the last movies I have seen before leaving Russia. I am watching it every time with a lot of pleasure. It is funny, and touching to tears some moments. It is also very realistic, as many women in Russia went through the same problems as the three girls, and it touches most of people in Russia. It is also showing that it is never late to restart and suceed in your life, and in spite of difficulties it is possible to reach your goal and success (whatever it means for you).
