This movie is really funny. I complained watching this at first honestly, my wife wanted to see the film. I thought it would be a dreadful Four Weddings and a Funeral indie. But right in I fell for the movie. The movie is silly and funny and a bit absurd in the best ways. Perhaps in script form maybe it wouldn't have sounded so great but really this film is a great 90 minutes of entertainment. Frank Oz has made some classics and this right up there with them. Some previous comments about the film being homophobic are absolutely ridiculous...
Is a remake really in the works? Don't fix it if it isn't broken. But I liked this so much I'll still see the remake.

When you go to see an independent film there is a hope that what you will see will be something new, different and entertaining. You hope to discover something. Skills Like This is that kind of film. This is a great movie, I loved all of the characters. The performances are right on and funny. The film moves at times from silly comedy to darker comedy. It does this at all the right times. This movie kept me engaged and pulled me in to the point where I was engaged but not aware of where it would take me next. It is rare bonus to see an indie comedy that makes me laugh and one that I won't soon forget.

I get it but I just don't like it. This film isn't clever, funny or scary. Sure it is a parody but it didn't even create an internal smile. I think the first film with a similar concept was much better and much funnier. BEHIND THE MASK THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON is not for me.
Here is the synopsis for a superior film that I highly recommend:
Plot summary for
(Man Bites Dog) C'est arrivé près de chez vous (1992)
A camera crew follows a serial killer/thief around as he exercises his craft. He expounds on art, music, nature, society, and life as he offs mailmen, pensioners, and random people. Slowly he begins involving the camera crew in his activities, and they begin wondering if what they're doing is such a good idea, particularly when the killer kills a rival and the rival's brother sends a threatening letter.
Notice the similarities.
The tone of this film is depressing, boring and blah...
