I have seen mixed comments on this movie - I have not seen it's Tamil Original but personally I'll rank it among one of my bests. I have a reason to do so - I could relate every bit of it to my own love life (needless to say it was in total mess at that time). Feeling it personally makes a movie good or bad to watch. For me - it touched me. Other than that - this movie has an excellent couple of good songs. Prateik and Amy have given their bests and were totally into it while shooting. Specially the scene on the park of Taj Mahal - deep down into it, Prateik have given it a real touch. Prateik danced wonderfully great, but Amy lacked in this part. Worth a watch.

If u have ever been to an engineering college, this movie is for you, and best if you see it in the last year of your engineering course. and don't worry if you are not an engineering student, you can still feel the taste of the college life. This movie gives you the every detail and every possible happening an engineering college can have, from love to fight for friendship, being ditched, sports, and most of all - feeling nostalgic. with no big stars in this movie, you feel the essence more charged up. and the music is excellently selected to give the movie that college look. What more 2 say. My rating shows the rest. Trust me, a must watch for every engineer.

Rock on is one of those movies which helps you to resuscitate and relive your incomplete dreams. As the movie moves forward, you get a clear idea what happens when your youth immaturity leads you to suffer your own lives, and how you later desire to make them up if you get another chance, but the desires are only locked up in deep secrets of your heart. And if you are lucky enough to relive your dreams - never let it go, for life rarely gives you a second chance.

Rock on proves itself with excellent blend of music - from hard rock to souls. And the best part of this movie is that unlike most other bollywood movies, Rock on highlights all the characters with equal importance, giving itself an overall band performance.

Movies like Taare zameen par, Jaane tu and Rock on lays a brand new path for bollywood to move ahead with not just good acting and music, but also a very lively story.
