Really interesting concepts thrown out there. Infinity can be a Nightmare Hotel, and literally Hell, but it can also be a beautiful thing at the same time. Some things you will wrap your head around, and other things you will never understand...and that's okay. Life is not supposed to be fully understood, just like infinity. I think if one really looks deep into what infinity truly is, I would say in the real world, infinity does exist within the 'now' (not necessarily talking about the Eckhart Tolle type of 'now' either). If we humans were wiped out of existence, and there were only animals and nature, they would still exist in the infinite 'now.' But, if there were only particles left, they would still be in the 'now,' and if there was just complete darkness, it would still exist in some kind of 'now.' Now granted, in mathematical terms, the 'now' is an illusion, and the speed of light is finite, but I still don't believe you can ever say the 'illusion' of the 'now' is finite. The illusion itself would be an infinity.
As an Independent filmmaker myself, it is difficult to get a film made. From the inception of the idea to seeing it through until the very bitter end; it can be a hard and painful process...but a very rewarding one too. I respect the fact that the producers and director went the distance and made a film about something interesting and saw it through to the very end. I really like the visions the lead character has in this film, which reminds me of the film, "The Shining." Mile 19 also has some pretty good acting from some of the actors. Overall, I dug the concept and have respect from one filmmaker to another.
So they died and one of them is dreaming the way it should have gone after they passed on, right? No, but in all seriousness, this movie is ridiculously insane. It's over the top, and brilliant; I really liked it. If you go into this movie expecting something crazy absurd, then you will have a really fun time with this film. If you go into this film wanting to watch a serious drama, then you will be sorely disappointed. This film has it all; an infinite supply of arrows; an infinite supply of song and dance; and an infinite supply of bromance to the max. The last 25 minutes of the film had me laughing so hard, I could hardly breathe. Some really sick scenes visually too. It's a long movie, but it doesn't feel long. Overall, a real fun time. Based on real events...but it's very, very loosely based on real events. Extremely loosely based on real events.
