This is a engaging film with interesting characters, each with beautiful style. What a fun party that I would enjoy going to. This Director's films are always a feast for the eyes and a curious mind.
I just read all the comments about Red Sky At Morning here. It warmed my heart that so many other people loved the film and were touched by it. I grew up in Santa Fe and saw the film when it was first released in the theaters in 1971/1972. I was also the same age as its' teen characters at the time and identified greatly with them. Oddly, except for the backdrop of WWII, most things were the same 30 years later! I thought MY experience was special because I knew the New Mexican people, land and situations. I had no idea others would enjoy this very exceptional film as I had. The themes were universal and as it was mentioned here, EVERYONE, especially young people should see Red Sky At Morning. I was particularly thrilled to know that now I can buy a DVD copy to share with my husband and our children who still live in beautiful New Mexico. Thanks for the sweet walk down memory lane! PS Billy Goldenbergs' score was/is exquisite and sends me to the moon!
