I was sucked into this movie with no idea what it was about. Actually my on screen dish system gave me a synopsis, but I assumed it accidentally gave me the synopsis of FearDotCom. This film was way to stylish to be about a website.

The technology center of the film will date it, it already crosses the edge of "mmmm, that wouldn't work that way" which is almost impossible not to do in a technology driven plot (when using familiar technology). But I forgave it 'cause it was so cool.

This is like a Chick Ronin, but without the chases. I bought all the characters, lifeless empty shells of people, a lot like real people. ;) It had me guessing and filling in the blanks. I loved the droning sound design and low key style. I loved the multiple languages and locations.

(another reviewer complained that the multi language thing was some sort of intellectual posturing... as if the world doesn't use other languages except to humiliate Americans)

I liked how things slowly explained themselves over the whole film. It is not too hard to follow if you are willing to pay attention. If the style or actors don't inspire you, then you probably won't, and I'll forgive anyone that too.

  • Um, go see Fahrenheit 9/11 instead...

Interesting that this movie is sparking such a debate about race relations, but, uh, there are more important things to debate these days.

It's hard to believe that this movie made almost as much money as F9/11.

Go See Fahrenheit 9/11, it's the most important movie of the year.

If you like to debate issues, see F 9/11 and make up your own mind.

If you've poisoned your mind with useless brain swill like this... cleanse yourself with something meaningful.

I saw this last night at an advance screening. It was disappointing.

The final theme of the movie was, it's ok for a girlfriend to manipulate a guy to get him to marry her. Or... even people that don't seem to have anger problems should learn to suppress their anger.

It just wasn't satisfying on the theme of exploring anger, it was more like a typical weak story that didn't go far enough to be interesting.
