Web of Death (2023)
Fantastic spotlight on the deserving
Once I watched all 6 episodes of Web of Death, I looked up if another season was coming. It's listed as a mini series so I'm unsure, but I'd love to see more cases highlighted. This show puts the well-deserved spotlight on the dedicated folks who pour their time & energy into solving cold cases and/or giving the names back to John and Jane Does & the families who have waited decades to know the truth. Sure, these cases may have been heard of before by true crime junkies but it's enthralling to get a more detailed look at the cases. It's amazing how many selfless people are out there putting their hearts and souls into helping victims & their families find answers. I'm positive more than just me want to see more!
A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019)
Everything I hoped it would be!
If Mr. Rogers & his wonderful neighborhood have a special place in your heart, you simply must see this movie. Fred Rogers had a magnificent way of making even his smallest fans feel safe & happy and this movie will take you right back to that feeling.
Tom Hanks was the perfect choice to play the legendary Mr. Rogers. He knocked it out of the park! I walked out of the theater with happy tears in my eyes & my heart full of love for the man who selflessly gave so much of himself to all of us so we could grow up feeling understood & loved. See this movie in the theater if you can! You will not regret it.
How Murray Saved Christmas (2014)
Unexpected fun!
My husband & I saw this on a listing of Christmas shows & thought we'd give it a shot. It was a good time with lots of laughs! I despise shows like Family Guy & while the animation may have looked "Family Guy-ish", it was not. It most definitely wasn't vulgar like some reviews suggest. I wouldn't let a little kiddo watch it, but 10+ should be just fine.
Buttons (2018)
Heartwarming!
First off, I'm definitely not a bot or someone who was paid off to leave a good review like other reviewers on here have suggested.
My whole family watched this & adored it. Seeing Angela Lansbury & Dick Van Dyke work together again was wonderful. I loved the singing & dancing and the storyline was great. I followed the storyline the whole time, absolutely no confusion. The best part? We get to see Dick dance again!!!!! :o) This is a fantastic family film for all, especially the adults who are still children at heart.
Life After Beth (2014)
Glad I stumbled upon this movie!
Life after Beth has awesome actors, love, laughs, chaos, and zombies. It's NOT a horror movie. My husband and I really enjoyed this film. It's a hidden gem of a movie with a unique spin on "zombie comedies". If you don't go into the movie with expectations of another Zombieland or Night of the Living Dead, you might just enjoy it as much as we did!
Changeland (2019)
LOVED IT!!!
This movie was awesome! My 2 favorite actors take a trip of a lifetime and let me tag along. With lush scenery, a great storyline, superb acting, and roles filled by their friends & spouses, I couldn't help but have a great time! Changeland left me uplifted and inspired to live the best life possible.
Boo (2005)
It's a fun & spooky treat!
I don't care what the bad reviews say, this movie was a treat. I went in not expecting a movie worthy of an Oscar & that's what I got. This was a lower budget, direct to DVD release but it was just as scary as some of the bigger budget movies of its time. The acting isn't superb but it's definitely better than what certain reviews are saying. I gave this movie a 10 to try & make up for the ridiculously critical reviews. Otherwise, I'd give it a 7/10. If you're looking for a creepy was to spend a few hours, watch Boo!
I Still See You (2018)
What a shame...
The trivia for this movie shouldn't even reference to the book "Break My Heart 1000 Times". The book was excellent, the movie is garbage. Everything in the book has been twisted & changed so severely that it doesn't even resemble the book at all. Some names are the same & that's pretty much it. Even if the book didn't exist, the movie is still horrendous. Confusing storyline, bad acting, & no character development. It could've been an awesome movie if the book storyline had been followed. But alas, it was not. Don't waste your time!
