Yes, you'll probably see this movie nominated for all types of awards including actors, director, and cinematography. And well it will deserve them.
But when you walk out of the theater, I wonder if you'll feel as I did. Namely, depressed.
While the country featured in the movie is imaginary, the brutality, injustice, hopelessness, and inhumanness are not.
If you go to movies to be moved and challenged, not just entertained, you won't be disappointed.
But if you like to sleep nights, you might want to think twice before venturing into the theater.

Seems some made for TV movies are enjoyable. Yes, the husband is a bit of a dim bulb but Perry King doesn't overplay his naivete. In fact, that's a large part of the movie's appeal. No one overacts. Music is kept to a minimum. The plot is driven by competent acting on all parts. Good mystery. Will have you rooting for the good guy to win.
