Toy Story 3 (2010)
The Perfect Trilogy
Toy Story 3 had BIG shoes to fill upon its release. The first two Toy Story films were incredible, but I never had any doubts about Toy Story 3 being just as good, and I wasn't disappointed, it was incredible.
I went to watch the film with a group of friends in its opening week, and we watched the 3D version. The 3D was impeccable, but watching the film in 3D was just a bonus, Toy Story 3 was something i'd been waiting 11 years for.
In the film, we see a 17 year old Andy going to college and moving on, but his toys are thrown away by mistake and they end up in a box donated to Sunnyside daycare. Upon there arrival, the toys are impressed by the daycare centre and the other toys that they meet there, but Woody is intent on going back to Andy, insisting that he still wants the other toys, but they find the daycare centre as a paradise, and so Woody leaves alone, only to be found and taken home by a little girl named Bonnie. Meanwhile, Buzz and the gang discover daycare isn't as pleasant as it seems, when the toys are put in with the toddlers. Woody begins to see the bright side of having a new owner like Bonnie, but discovers the truth about the daycare centre and so sets out to rescue his friends.
The plot becomes rapidly intense, full of twists and turns. In many ways, Toy Story 3 is different to its predecessors, but in a positive way. The film certainly has plenty of action, and also very emotional, especially the scene where the toys decide their fate and join hands ready to be destroyed.
Overall, I wasn't let down in the slightest by Toy Story 3 and in my opinion, it was just as good as the previous films. The perfect end to a perfect trilogy.

The Simpsons: That '90s Show (2008)
Why all the fuss?
I admit this episode contradicted the Simpsons history, but come on, the show is set in a floating timeline, you don't seriously believe that Bart would still be 10 years old, when the show started in 1989?
OK, maybe the writers should have scrapped this idea, but in my opinion, the episode turned out pretty well. Their was some hilarious references and parodies (such as Homer's parody of 'Nirvana - Rape Me', with a song called 'Shave Me', which Weird Al parodied in the episode), the Back To The Future reference with Marvin Cobain, a parody of Marvin Berry.
This was criticized an awful lot by fans and critics alike, I am a passionate fan of The Simpsons, I have watched nearly every episode, and I can honestly say I enjoyed this episode, it wasn't great, but it was a lot of fun.
8/10.
The Simpsons: My Fair Laddy (2006)
Not so good
This episode wasn't one of my favourites of the Simpsons, it just wasn't consistent.
The episode got off to a funny start, with Bart's troubles with th Gym teacher, but then it just stopped being funny. Groundskeeper Willie is one of my favourite characters in the show, and lets face it, it was never going to work turning him into a real gentleman.
IGN named this episode as the best of the 17th season, i'd have to disagree, as their was plenty of better episodes than this.
It's not an awful episode, but if you are not a fan of new Simpsons, then you will probably not enjoy it. It has some funny parts in, but nothing great.

The Simpsons: Coming to Homerica (2009)
Episodes like this remind us what is so great about 'The Simpsons'.
This episode was impeccable, I really thought it was one of the best in the show's history.
The story starts when Krusty is forced to bring out a more healthy burger in his fast-food chains, so he begins to sell 'The Mother Nature Burger' with vegetables. The vegetables, which come from Norwegian farmers in Ogdenville, make several people ill and the workers are out of business. Seeking for work, they move to Springfield and soon the town is full of immigrants and the towns people have had enough.
I can relate to this episode a lot, due to the Polish migrants moving into the UK, where I live.
I loved this episode and laughed harder than I have in a long time at 'The Simpsons'. A real eye-opener!
10/10!!
The Simpsons: The Bonfire of the Manatees (2005)
Decent episode
I originally heard that the manatees storyline was going to be used in 'The Simpsons Movie', i'm so glad that it didn't. The storyline fit into a 20 minute episode well, but it wouldn't have been movie material.
The episode is one of the best from season 17 and contained some hilarious scenes, such as Professor Pigskin, and the 'You're needed at home!' scene. And Alec Baldwin (once again!) appeared in the show, which I was pleased by.
Overall, it was a decent episode, not great, but we don't tend to find many 'classic' episodes in a later season.
9/10
The Simpsons: Waverly Hills, 9021-D'Oh (2009)
Guy five!
Robert Canning from IGN rated this episode 8.8/10 and called it 'the best episode of the 20th season'. It's a decent episode, but I didn't think it was the best of the season. 'Coming To Homerica' or 'Eeny Teeny Maya Moe' would have to take that title.
The episode gets off to a good start, with Marge discovering how bad Springfield Elementary has gotten and decides to move them to Waverly Hills Elementary, but they have to own an apartment, due to regular visits from the city inspector (an obvious parody of Anton Chigurh from 'No Country For Old Men'). Bart becomes known as the 'bad' kid and is very well respected by pupils. Lisa, however, is unsurprisingly unpopular, so Bart tells the students that Lisa is friends with popstar Alaska Nebraska.
There is also a decent subplot, where Homer starts to live like a bachelor, and he & Marge 'rekindle' their romance.
Above all, the episode is full of positives, such as the parody of Hannah Montana (Alaska Nebraska)and the city inspector.
9/10.
The Simpsons: Midnight Towboy (2007)
Possibly one of my favourite Simpsons episodes of all-time.
I never thought this would happen, but a season 19 episode has become one of my favourites. I am not one of those fans of the show that moan about how much The Simpsons has gone downhill, it has declined over the years, but I still love it just as much as ever, and it still remains my favourite show.
'Midnight Towboy', however, took me by surprise. The episode just worked so well. The main plot is basically, Homer is hired by Louie (voiced by Matt Dillon) who has an easy career in towing cars, but warns Homer to stay off his turf. Homer becomes power-mad and starts to tow people's cars for ridiculous reasons. The town's people become angry and set up a trap for Homer. I'll leave it there, I won't spoil it for you.
The episode is funny, the storyline is entertaining and so is the subplot, with Marge trying to help Maggie to become more independent. Great episode.
10/10!
The Simpsons: Homerazzi (2007)
Hilarious Episode!
'Homerazzi' is by far one of the highlights of season 18, and one of my favourite Simpsons episodes. I didn't think there was one bad part, which doesn't happen so often in the newer episodes. The story was very entertaining, starting when the Simpson family purchase a fire proof safe due to a fire (which Homer accidentally set off) and the safe is destroyed due to Homer's cologne that heats up inside. The family then recreate their photo's and spot Duff Man and Boobarella on a date in the background of one, encouraging Homer to become a paparazzi. My favourite part was when the paparazzi hired by the celebrity's to embarrass Homer, started taking crude pictures of him.
This episode is a real high point in season 18, and I would recommend it to any Simpsons fan. 10/10.
The Simpsons (1989)
TV Gold!
The Simpsons created a landmark in television history. No show had ever been as clever and witty as this. The humour is always perfect, humour that maybe some people will not understand. In my opinion, this show surpasses Family Guy, American Dad!, South Park etc in every way possible.
The first 10 seasons of the show we're pure gems,(season 10 to a lesser extent) Each episode was hysterical and memorable, and always referred to as the Simpsons 'Golden Age'. Somewhere along the line, however, the writers dropped the ball and the quality of the show rapidly decreased. Season 11,12 and 13 still made me laugh, but I was fully aware that the 'Golden Age' was long gone. Season 14, in my opinion, saw the show drop to a new low and this continued for another few seasons. However, I thought somewhere in the middle of season 19, that the show was getting reasonably better. Season 20 began and I thought it was pretty good, particually the episode 'Coming To Homerica', which had me in stitches. Season 21 is currently airing and I have watched most episodes up to yet (which look unbelievable in HD), and so far I am impressed.
One of my all-time favourite episodes is the season 8 episode 'Homers Phobia'. The writing is pure gold, and i'm still in stitches every time I watch it, and I must have seen it over 75 times! My favourite characters change every now and then, but currently (excluding the Simpsons family), i'd have to say Lenny & Carl or Mr Burns.
In conclusion, I firmly believe this IS the best show to ever be shown on television, despite the declining quality. I still watch the Simpsons every time it's on Sky and I still love it as much as ever, even though some episodes can be disappointing. I was also thrilled by The Simpsons Movie, which is one of my favourite film's of all time!
Season 1-9: 10/10 Season 10-18: 7/10 Season 19-21: 8/10
Little Britain (2003)
Loved It At First....
When I first saw 'Little Britain', I was so captivated and entertained, it quickly became my favourite show, I bought the first series on DVD, and was more than impressed. Then came the second series. The characters became much more dull and the sketches seemed repetitive, although to a lesser extent, still provided funny moments. The third series, I thought, added a bit of life back to the series, with new and funny characters and hilarious sketches. 'Little Britain Abroad' was then broadcast as a 2-part Christmas special. I noticed a lack of humour. I was impressed with 'Little Britain:Live' as I was thrilled by how Matt Lucas and David Walliams performed in front of a live audience. Then came the god-awful 'Little Britain USA'. I watched the first episode and rather enjoyed it, to say the least, but by the time the second episode was broadcast, I lost interest. The show had hit an all time low. I would recommend that Matt & David end the show now, on a high note, whilst its still possible.
Above all, not a bad show, but it gets so repetitive.
6/10
Family Guy (1999)
Oh My God .....
I've watched this show a few times, at least I've tried. Most people I know always go on about how good the show is & how I must watch it, but it really is too painful to watch.
Family Guy began to air when The Simpsons 'Golden Age' was just coming to an end, and it was cancelled shortly after. If only it had stayed that way. Family Guy brainwashed people and they began to think the show was actually funny, I feel sorry for them.
First of all, the characters are enough to stop me watching the show. Peter & Stewie Griffin, have the most annoying voices on TV, along with every other character in the show. They are not lovable in any way. As most people would have noticed, the family have a striking resemblance to The Simpsons family and I think the cover that was shown on the front of Mad Magazine speaks for it's self.
The concept of the show is pointless. It's unfunny, offensive, insulting, crude, mean-spirited and it's wrong. There is nothing wrong with crude, crude can sometimes be good, but there is limits & Family Guy ignores those limits and takes it too far. I remember switching an episode on and it was making fun of people with Down's Syndrome. That just physically made me sick.
In conclusion, Family Guy is indeed the worst show I have ever laid eyes on. If you are a brain-dead idiot, with the mind of a 7 year old, who still laughs at 'naughty words', then I recommend this show, otherwise, please avoid it. 1/10. (and that's being generous.)
Coming of Age (2007)
Not a second series!
This show is in a word... pathetic. The jokes are terrible and the characters are highly annoying! The young girl, Jaz, has such a irritating voice, I would practically get down on my knees and beg her to stop talking in that ridiculous way! Also, the dumb character, DK, is the most annoying character ever to appear on TV. His rapping really aggravates me.
The first time I watched this show, I was with a couple of mates and they said to me "If you like Two Pints Of Lager, you'll love this". With me being a big fan of Two Pints, I regret to say, I watched this. My mates were giggling like 7 year olds, whilst I didn't even crack a smile.
I hate this show with all my heart and soul, it just makes me so angry that people actually prefer this to Two Pints Of Lager & A Packet Of Crisps because without Two Pints, this show wouldn't have even been made because all this show is doing is ripping-off Two Pints.
When the Two Pints Comic Relief Special was on, I was really excited, with it being a new series, but to my horror, Coming Of Age characters were in the show! What irritated me the most was when Gaz and DK did 'The Biscuit Rap' which Gaz and Jonny sang in the musical special.
If I could give this a 0, I would definitely do it!
Worst show this decade!
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)
Better than the original!
After seeing Rob Zombie's terrible remake of Halloween, it had put me off of remakes but after watching this I doubt there will be another horror movie released better than this one. The plot is better than the original, the characters are about equal and Leatherface is so much better than he was in the original. Leatherface only massacred one person with a chainsaw in the original but in this, he uses his chainsaw all of the time. Also, I prefer the remake to the original because there are more characters and you learn more about Leatherface and his family. All the acting was amazing, especially Jessica Beil, she was outstanding. If you have saw this movie, I also recommend The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning because the remake series is better than the original series put together. To be honest, I thought the original was rather boring. Don't get me wrong, it is great for a 1974 movie. No remake can compare to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake 10 Out Of 10! **********
Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989)
an underrated sequel
I watched this movie VHS with low expectations, but this wasn't half as bad as I expected. The plot is clever and it was really entertaining. The movie starts with a trip to New York with graduates on board, Jason climbs on board and resumes his relentless killing spree, when some of the travellers escape and set on a journey to NYC, Jason soon catches up and reaches Manhatten, he then kills several more and chases the remaining survivors through the city. This movie is totally better than Friday The 13th: New Blood, Friday The 13th: Jason Goes To Hell and Jason X. I wouldn't call this a great sequel but it is more than watchable!
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)
A Horror Movie Masterpiece!
I watched this movie many times on VHS but couldn't remember it clearly so last week, I purchased it on DVD for £5 and the least I can say is money well spent! This movie is a true great in the horror genre. The plot is clever, the characters are likable and the most frightening thing is, this is a true story! I have read the story of Ed Gein and this movie is hardly any different The ending was a bit silly and stupid but apart from that, This was awesome! Along with Halloween, Friday The 13th, A Nightmare On Elm Street and The Exorcist, this movie is a classic! I hope to see the remake now, but I'm just hoping I'm not disappointed!!
My Family (2000)
The best comedy in the making!
Absoulutly fantastic comedy! My Family has it all! Ben, a funny character and a great actor. Susan, A great parent and really weird! Janey, A great teen, makes me laugh and sometimes attractive! Michael, A funny, smart kid who is obsessed with girls. Abi, A funny, stupid female character and last but definitely no least, Nick, he is so funny! On Saturday nights I take my My Family DVD's to my grandads and he makes my Saturday! I must say the series has gone a bit downhill after Nick's departure but it is still one of the best comedy's around and I hope they make another series because it doesn't get any better than this!
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995)
The worst in the series!
In my opinion, this was the worst Halloween film. Because of the ending of Halloween 5, I thought this was going to be great but I was totally wrong! The story is really bad, the music is like it was made for an action film and the acting wasn't very good (Apart from Donald Pleasence.) But the stupidest thing about the film is Dr Wynn. It turns out he is a leader of a group of evil druids who study pure evil, they kidnap Jamie Lloyd and make her pregnant so the baby will be a final sacrifice for Michael Myers and he will be able to kill it. What makes it so stupid is that he worked with Dr Loomis for all those years and was worried when Michael escaped from Smith's Grove sanitarium in 1978 and it turns out he was the voice that told Michael to kill his sister and he was the 'stranger in black' that lurked the street and set Michael free in Halloween 5.
Nearly every time Michael kills someone you see him in the background or know it is going to happen, So this film has no suspense also and not one bit scared me! But Donald Pleasence's acting was perfect as always. R.I.P Mr Pleasence
Halloween (2007)
Why Rob Zombie? Why?!
Personally, I don't like remakes, particularly this one. Rob Zombie did a terrible job! He replaced suspense with sex and nudity. The only good point about this movie is Michael's childhood. We witness that he is a tortured soul. Rob Zombie is a good musician and I have nothing against him but I just wish he didn't make this. Also, in this movie, Michael isn't as strong. Dr Loomis shot him 3 times in the back with a small gun and it took him ages to get up, in the original, he was shot 6 times with a big handgun and he fell off of a balcony and it took him about 10 seconds to get up. At the end, the police force shot him with handguns more than 20 times and he was dead, at the end of Halloween 4, he was shot by the police force with machine guns and shotguns and fell down a mine shaft and still survived. The only remake I like is The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003).
Halloween: Resurrection (2002)
Not as bad as I expected
As a Halloween fan, I have watched all of the Halloween films, I did watch Halloween Resurrection quite a while ago but i forgot everything about it, so last week I bought the DVD and I was quite surprised, it was better than I expected. Although there was some terrible acting. Busta Rhymes. What was they thinking! He is the most annoying horror movie actor I have and will ever see. There was also some stupid scenes like when Busta Rhymes managed to kick Michael Myers through the window. I liked the first part when Michael was searching for Laurie and he killed her. But the stupidest thing about this movie is the ending of Halloween H20. Michael switched bodies with a paramedic and strangled him until he broke his voice box but Laurie slammed him through the windscreen of the van she was driving and when the paramedic got up, he just waited there and didn't move out of the way! But this gets worse, when Laurie rolled the van down the hill and the van ended up slamming Michael against a chopped down tree and the paramedic was still alive! Personally, I think they just made this film for the money.
