Although the other reviews would like to worship this animated series, I myself can see why this franchise was rejected by other companies because it is missing a lot of qualities and knowledge of filmmaking.
The writing is way too forward, I mean way too forward. There's a ton of lore in this story but it tries to throw it all on the viewer all at once which is really frustrating. I have never seen a show that throws this much fking lore into one episode in my life, I watched a ton of tv shows as a kid yet none of those shows tried to explain more than 300 things to me in over 25 minutes. It is good to have plot that doesn't dwell on too long and goes straight to the point but it's also important for a story to take time into certain assets especially lore so the viewer can truly experience everything on an even level. I seriously don't understand why the writers rushed for the show to present everything to the viewer since this a animated series. They have plenty of time.
The show also tells the plot and lore incorrectly. You should show not tell, so the viewer can immerse themselves into the world you're telling. All of the lore is explained by words and not scenes of the past or anything which is really boring. It's like you're reading the script and concept of the plot to people.
I personally don't like the chosen art style, it kind of look like a syndrome as an art style. The characters designs are not really clever rather just very random. They do show the characters personalities but they just look really gross and the color scheme is very off. I wouldn't say this world is really immersive or beautiful, it's very sci fi which I find as a pretty odd choice for a WOZ movie.
I seriously can't stand wests voice it got on my fking ass nerves and she's such a cringey edge lord but not in a good way like in a really bad way. Glinda looks like a smashed cranberry that came from someone's ass and the wicked witch is straight up an E girl mixed with a Karen. Why is everyone white ppl except the munchkin ppl? The magic book is a terrible design and looks like something you can get from Michaels or Office Depot.
I swear, why is Dorothy not at least freaking out a little the fact she fell into another universe??? Shouldn't she be at least wondering where the hell she's at??? I mean damn I would and im a grown ass woman! So the Tin man doesn't really exist in this one? Could you not figure out what to do with him? Like Dorothy just came to this land in a matter of 25 minutes and she's all like "im going to save the world" Lost in oz? Wow you really took a lot of time naming your tv show, so original, and guess what? The wizard of OZ ain't even in this one. I think of better plot when Im taking a shet than this!

I wouldn't say home is literally one the worst movies I've watched but I also definitely wouldn't have the audacity to say this shet a godly masterpiece either. While I did enjoy some of the qualities of this movie, overall there's a lot of frustrating plots.
1 First of all, They interpreted Oh as this oddball who isn't like the rest of the aliens as he likes "non essential" things I guess. Although he is perceived that way ironically he randomly begins to act just like his kind being no different from them.
For example, in the first ten minutes, oh serves his purpose by trying to connect with everyone else by assigning a party but after those ten minutes he acts completely different, what??? He begins to hate things that are "non essential" like when kip puts on the music and he says he only wants friends yet when Kip goes takes a piss at 7 eleven he just tries to leave her there like wtf??? Why was he just gonna leave her there like a jerk??? Oh wants to connect with people yet he doesn't value Kip. Kip wants to find her mom before the world ends he just leaves her there again wtf??? Why he just gonna leave her there like that??? Does he not care that Kip loves her mom and doesn't want to leave her there??? Look I'm not trying to hate on oh or his character but why does he do all of these things that are so selfish if he isn't like his kind?
Kip is the one who isn't supposed to trust him yet oh is the one who betrays the most
2 Kip doesn't annoy me as much as oh but she still kinda gets on my nerves and a lot of the things she says are really annoying. She's an immature teenager who acts like she's a bad Btchh, like do we really need another cringey teen main character? Why did she leave her cat In the car??? Is she not worried he's gonna stray off like what a cat does??? Why is she hiding, if she got caught she would've just been where her mom is by now. The relationship she has with oh just feels so complicated. He doesn't really have any other feelings just like every other alien and he doesn't care or emphasize with Kip missing her mom. How in the world did oh fix her car, like did he go to engineering school or what???
3 The intro is a bit misplaced, it's a bit confusing because we learn 400 years later of why Kip wasn't caught. Why wasn't that explained in the beginning? Why are we starting off with oh? Her character Is pushed off to the middle of the plot why??? Why don't they combine the intro with both oh and kips plot since they both are the main characters?
4 the aliens weren't that developed. They show what doesn't make them but they never really show what makes them. Why do all the aliens have to look the same? That's just boring. I haven't seen a alien design that actually looks interesting or cool. Also, it ruins of how oh is different from them if they all practically looks the same. The fact they don't like things that are non essential is not really that much of a firm concept. Also they treat the leader guy like he's a total jerk and he needs to get kicked out but we see at the end everybody just forgave him and is just partying with him, what???
Overall this movie not that good but not the worst. Y'all can kiss my ass.
