The series is extremely well shot and designed. It's refreshing to see a series actually compose shots instead of doing lazy, handheld camerawork instead of framing a shot. There is a little bit of handheld stuff in the series, but it's minimal and is probably due to filming in an enclosed space in those particular scenes. The acting is very good. The atmosphere is good. Biggest issue....it should have been a film, not a series. They drag this thing out to 10 hours when it should have been cut to 2 hours max. It simply does not need to be 10 hours long. Another issue is the plot. It's intriguing at first, but ultimately, it makes no sense. The world outside of the corporation knows that the people who work there are "severed". There's no mystery to it. Doing the "severing" makes no sense either. Why make people forget their memories while at work, then make them forget work while at home? Plus there are activists in the series who protest the "severance". It would have been better had no one outside the corporation knew about it. Another issue...do we need another series/film telling us corporations are evil? It's a tiresome trope that has been played out many, many times.
Office Space did this type of thing in less than 2 hours, so if you really want a show/film about corporate politics, watch that. Clockwatchers is another decent take on working for a boring corporation. In conclusion, if the makers had made this a film and didn't explain anything, it might have been a masterpiece. Unfortunately, by stretching it out and having a premise that really doesn't make sense when it's explained ruins the production. A shame.

I haven't seen this since it came out, so I revisited it on TUBI. It still stinks after all these years. The biggest problem is Hulk Hogan can't act. He's one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, but that doesn't translate to the screen at all. He's painfully bad. His acting is often unintentionally funny. The sign he gives as "Rip" is silly and hackish. His love scenes with Joan Severance are silly, too, mainly due to his bad acting and having no chemistry with Joan on screen.
The supporting players, mainly Kurt Fuller and his 2 associates, are pretty good and are often funny. The scene where all 3 of them enter the dive bar is actually pretty funny and is intended to be so. That one scene is the best in the film. Tiny Lister is pretty ominous as Zeus, Hogan's rival. Joan Severance is gorgeous and deserves to be in a better movie. Despite Hogan's massive popularity in the wrestling world at the time, the film bombed despite massive promotion by WWF/WWE, and now is considered a bad cult classic. Don't bother unless you're a fan of bad movies.

Most of the reviews here are negative.
Ellos son mucho loco.
This film is HILARIOUS, and it's supposed to be. It's not supposed to be a horror film. It's pretty obvious from the first few minutes that it's supposed to be funny. So I went along with it and laughed my keester off at it.
Best line...."It was dusk. I could tell that because the sun was going down".
This was one of the funniest films I've seen in quite some time. Hollywood rarely makes comedies these days (aka 2024), so one has to find laughter in Hollywood's past to make up for it. One of Corman's funniest movies, and pretty well made considering its budget and its very short running time (just over an hour). Plus you get to see Robert Towne act and he's pretty funny in his role here.
Ignore the negative reviews. It's a comedy, and it totally works as one.
