Turns out it's a remake :(
At first I was proud that Indonesia could make a film like this, but when I left the cinema, my friend told me that it was a remake of a Korean film. As an Indonesian, I felt like I wasn't special.
Since I haven't watched the Korean version, I can't compare it. But this Indonesian version managed to make the audience ride an emotional rollercoaster. The story is actually a template, from the middle of the film I could already guess the ending, because it's a template.
Vino G Bastian really cooks here, his acting is indeed S class for Indonesian actors. And what makes it a plus point is because of the acting of Vino G & Angga Yunanda who really have chemistry.
Overall it's good, if you ask whether you can cry or not, it actually depends on whether we relate to the story or not. I didn't cry yesterday but my friend did. So if you have a male brother, you better watch it.
Venom: The Last Dance (2024)
Disappointing to be the conclusion of a trilogy of films
Let's get straight to the point. The plot is so ruined, so bad, so disappointing. It shouldn't be like this to make a film that will close the trilogy, honestly I really like the character of Venom, that's why I was so disappointed with the last movie. They wanted to make this movie like any other breakup movie, but forced funny and sad dialogues that made it trash. Moreover The ending. It's like a video clip of the song Memories, just upload it to YouTube, and it becomes a music video. The villain, Knull. Knull is completely useless in this movie, what's the use of him? But anyway I can't give a bad review for a superhero movie, especially to one of my favorite characters. Yes, this movie is still watchable, even though it's a bit cringe, but still watchable.
