I watched this film at JAFF (Jogja Asian Film Festival) without knowing anything about it beforehand.
It's a film with a very slow pace-really slow. People who don't enjoy slow-paced movies might find it boring, but for those who do, they'll probably like it.
The story revolves around feminism in Iran, but it doesn't directly delve into that theme. Instead, it explores the dynamics of an Iranian family with two daughters. It's got a bit of a "daddy issues" vibe.
From the beginning, you can tell where the film is headed. It's clear that it leans towards feminist themes, and yep, that's exactly where it goes.
It's actually a good movie. Highly recommended for those who enjoy slow-paced films!

Indonesian Psychological Horror Film
Where should I start? Maybe with the technical aspects. The technical quality of this film is quite impressive for an Indonesian movie, with some creative shots. Since the genre is Psychological Horror, the visual elements need to be well-crafted, and in my opinion, they are refined enough to convey the intended meaning.
The color grading is excellent, the shots are well-executed, and the acting is undeniably strong.
Now, let's talk about the story. The plot is actually predictable. The ending has a decent twist, but the delivery feels lacking. Perhaps they aimed for an open-ending approach, but it didn't quite work for me.
A 6/10 rating seems fair for this film. It's a great idea for an Indonesian movie, daring to be different from others. However, the execution still falls short.

At first I was proud that Indonesia could make a film like this, but when I left the cinema, my friend told me that it was a remake of a Korean film. As an Indonesian, I felt like I wasn't special.
Since I haven't watched the Korean version, I can't compare it. But this Indonesian version managed to make the audience ride an emotional rollercoaster. The story is actually a template, from the middle of the film I could already guess the ending, because it's a template.
Vino G Bastian really cooks here, his acting is indeed S class for Indonesian actors. And what makes it a plus point is because of the acting of Vino G & Angga Yunanda who really have chemistry.
Overall it's good, if you ask whether you can cry or not, it actually depends on whether we relate to the story or not. I didn't cry yesterday but my friend did. So if you have a male brother, you better watch it.
