Since this movie is twenty years old and also that it is of Thanksgiving theme I was surprised I had not seen it. I was pleased to find myself between laughter and tears almost all the way through the film. What a well thought out story and screenplay. Acting performances got turned in on time and pleasantly prepared. I would have assigned more stars however I think the editor could have removed several scenes without harming the overall content and perhaps even improving the flow and messaging even more so. All said this film has captured my heart and now takes a permanent spot in my "Thanksgiving movies to watch at Thanksgiving" list.

Why anyone feels this bit of film deserves a 10 star review is beyond me....perhaps it was released in 2021 when everyone was in lockdown so they felt good about seeing someone outside without a mask in Oregon. Let me tell you if you think hiking alongside the I-84 is wilderness than maybe it is for you...the scenes are un-edited as far as I could tell...and the acting? Horrendous...spare yourself and pass this one up...even if you are an Eric Roberts fan this one is just plain not worth it! If you are a fan of the Columbia River Gorge you too will suffer dissapointment as this fails the cinematography bar for the area.

My wife and I sat down to watch this movie one Sunday afternoon...and were horrified by it. It was hard to say what aspect of it was the worst, acting directing writing among others. My wife made the comment that Nancy Luna looked like Skyler Whites (Breaking Bad) other sister. If you recall Skylers sister in BB was Marie Schrader...Nancy Lunas character would have been perfect in Braking Bad as Skylers sister!! Bingo!! We started playing the Breaking Bad game for the duration of this "STANK" movie..which caused us some shared laughter and a couple of times some outright belly laughs!! Esp the pool table scene with Carlos and Nancy....try watching that and pretending its Skylers sister and Hector Salamanca as Carlos!! LOL.... we made it all the way to the credits by playing this newly invented game...so the movie did that for us so we thought you should now have a reason to watch this one more time....while playing the "Breaking Bad" game and possibly with some adult beverages to wash it all down with...! Your Welcome!!
