The story may not be exact to the Bible's writings, the producers are up front with that, but it makes the points which are important to the writings. Turn your back on God and God will turn his back on you. The Lord giveth and Taketh. And most importantly is " God will not be mocked." A statement which modern morons should take heed. This is truth eternal. Intellectuals who are so smart they can't believe in Creator, make fun of the Lord, are committing a cosmic suicide to impress others. The House of David delivers wisdom and is worthy of viewing. There is value in this celluloid and I sense some people will find a bit of change in themselves while watching the Old Testament society dealing with divine forces just as we do today deal with the same divine forces. The span of time is not a problem to eternal beings. It doesn't change the dynamics of the universe that we have internet and iPads. The production is good , the sets are not 100 million dollar, but that's ok because the message is getting across. I like it.
Yeah I'm liking this show a lot. Christian Slater is most excellent as Dexter's dad. The time shifts are like little slices of cake because Slater makes them so freaking fun and believable. The cast brings us back to the Dexter world illuminating the characters we came to know, and its wonderful. I suppose it's a good thing that all the episodes were not dropped at once. I would have watched them all twice by now. I'd wager I'm not the only one whose watched the first two several times. Ok, when it comes to Deb I'd have them dial it back a bit. Maybe I'm wrong , but she seems a bit over the top. All in all I love this so far and will lovingly to wait for the next show.
Another piece of the Narco cinema. Man do I love these shows because they display the shadow of humanity. At least in this part of the world where I live. The shadow in other places takes on a different flavor particular to the culture. Making the Shadow a Hero is a pretty good storyline, and can be used as a therapeutic meeting between shadow and conscience being. That's why I enjoy these shows. We see around us today the shadows of drug addiction, political maniacs, and some who will bring with them the most evil of human imaginations. Griselda, the show, is the portrait of a Shadow being created to fight off other Shadows. The wonderful performance by the cast is always a bonus in the Narco series. They are real. Sofia ! Watching her transform into a female Narco queen is awesome. In comedy she's a slice of life, but in Griselda she brings more grain to the loaf.
