Superkitties (2023)
Such Cute Characters And Plot!
I've watched almost all the episodes up to the current one, and my opinion has changed a tad.
For starters, Bitsy is a very good character with very well thought out character development. When she makes mistakes, she learns from them, and it helps her not to repeat those same mistakes as before. She uses each new lesson to help her be a better teammate, and hero, in general. I also find it nice that they include Bitsy reciting the lesson learned at the end of each episode. She is an amazing character overall. And she is also very patient, like with Pickles whenever she (or he) would try to help the Superkitties on their mission, and end up failing to do so each time.
Second up, Ginny. The leader of the Superkitties. Ginny is a little bit much sometimes, like during the cheese episode, where she was terrified to get sticky. However, she is overall an amazing and well-written character. She leads her team well, and she braves her fears in order to help them, and the whole of Kittydale. She messes up on missions, sure, but she acknowledges her mistakes and learns from them, like Bitsy. She is also very persistent, and won't give up on her goals, like in the episode, "Lab Rat Lift-off."
Next up, Sparks. Sparks, the braniac of the group. He's very smart and a tech guy. He likes to make inventions for the team to help on missions, such as the Kitty Copter, which the Super Kity Kit transforms into on command. He also built the main tech that allows them to recieve calls from the animals of Kittydale, whenever they need help or are in trouble. He is a very good brother to Buddy, and, instead of lashing out when Buddy broke the Super Kitty Kit, calmly told him it was ok, and that he still wants brother time with him. He also cares very much for his friends and his brother, going as far as to put a tracker onto Bitsy's stuffed mouse, "Mr. Greenie", as he knows how much she loves him. He also was very kind towards Mr. Puppypaws in the fireworks episode, letting him have his ear protectors.
Lastly, Buddy. He's an overall decent character. He's sweet, caring, and kind. He is also a very loving brother, and often shows affection by snuggling up with him, or as they call it, "Brother Time." In the episode where Buddy accidentally broke the Super Kitty Kit, he feels awful and is scared Sparks might not want brother time anymore if he finds out. However, when he realizes he needs to tell him, he tries to, but Sparks ends up crashing, and that leads up to Buddy apologizing, and saying, "I guess you won't want brother time with me anymore." (Or whatever he said). Anyways, Sparks wasn't mad, and he forgave his brother, because he cares for him very much. Buddy is also a bit of a goofball, but he still is a very good member of the team despite some weaknesses he may have.
This show teaches kids life lessons they should know as they grow up, and it shows how teamwork can help solve problems. The lessons learned each episode are perfectly shown, and the villains in the show aren't really villains, as they always have a reason for what they do. They end up realizing when they are wrong, and apologize for whatever they did, and in some cases, try to make up for it. The fact the villains learn from mistakes is a very good aspect that kids should see on TV shows, instead of the ones where villains are portrayed as pure evil and unredeemable.
Anyways, another thing is, the plot is very well executed and thought out. Each episode is unique, and isn't a copy of PAW Patrol, as I've watched enough episodes to know if it copied the show in any way really. Sure, they are animals with superpowers, but PAW Patrol doesn't own that concept, so... Yeah. A very original plot, and very well executed.
One more thing: The songs are beautiful, and the voice actors are perfect for their roles! Some voices can be overtly annoying, such as Cat Burglar's and Zsa Zsa's. But, it is refreshing to hear their voices once in a while I suppose. Also I like the fact their are 4 different villains. It's very diverse in the villains, too. The villains consist of: Lab Rat, a Rat (As stated in her name) with her sidekick Otto, Zsa Zsa the cockatoo and her minions, Cat Burglar, and Mr. Puppypaws. But anyways, the songs blend well with the theme of this show, being superhero cats that help maintain balance in the town of Kittydale, and the voice actors do quite an amazing job too.
