Wandering Witch is about a talented young witch named Elaina, who was inspired by a book she read to become a witch. She sets out to travel the world to see different cultures and meet different people.
Beautiful artwork and excellent animation will hook you into this fine anthology series. Each episode is a new story with a new location, while Elaina serves as the thread that binds it together. Both the writing and the English voice acting are very good.
Anthologies are a series of stories that almost stand alone, while a host provides comments and hopefully some understanding. This format is challenging to create and unfortunately leads to some inconsistencies. Some episodes are packed with story, while others are a bit slow. Sometimes Elaina is an active participant in the story and sometimes a passive observer.
You will find a great variety of content. Some stories are sweet or funny, some mysterious or weird, some are dark and depressing. There are some spectacular battles and sometimes no fighting at all.
This is a show that will make you think and leaves a lasting impression. I recommend it.

Excellent animation and charming characters lure you into this uplifting story. Set on a remote fishing island in southern Japan we meet a tomboy girl named Tonbo and a burned-out pro golfer named Igarashi. Each has their secrets, but they form a close friendship on a local golf course. Part of the story's interest is the gradual reveal of their hidden stories. Why did Igarashi exile himself to a remote community center? Why is the multi-talented Tonbo determined to never leave this small island?
The unusual island and its local culture adds to the appeal. Strange weather, unusual fish, and local customs frequently surprise Igarashi.
The story offers interesting and unique insights into golf. This is no surprise as it is based on a long running series in Weekly Golf Digest. You can learn some good ideas from their golf techniques.
You don't need to love golf to enjoy this story, but even a passing interest in golf will make this a real treat.

Yumiella played a fantasy-romance sim game in her prior life and has now been reborn into that same world as the villainess who is destined to die!
The premise for this series is similar to several other stories, and even the school and the team of heroes seem familiar. Aside from this, the story delivers easy entertainment with cute characters and fun humor.
Yumiella has lived her life shunned and villified, never even seeing her parents. Her response has been to suppress her emotions and simply accept the unfair treatment she is subjected to. Her goal is to survive, and to do this she grinds her way through dungeons, killing monsters to become as strong as possible. She also tries to avoid people that she recalls as death flags in the computer game in her previous life.
Yumiella is socially inept and clueless about how other people think and feel. This creates an abundance of humorous situations. Her deadpan remarks are often funny and horribly misinterpreted by others. When the first hints of romance begin to bloom, she is totally oblivious to possibility.
The animation and voice acting are nicely done. The original light novels have been skillfully adapted into episodes. There is no blood and gore, and no obvious "fan service". I recommend this.
