Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan of totally impluasible TV amateur detective fiction, I love it all, whether it's Miss Marple, Jessica Fletcher or Rosemary and Thyme, it's great fun. The reason, primarily for that is, whilst the plots can be alittle far fetched, the actresses and actors who have donned the clothes and personas of these AmTecs, have all been real. They are believable.
I don't know what is wrong with this Marlow show, but the 3 actresses are terrible. Robert Thorogood is a good writer, but he should not have adapted his own book(s) for TV. The novelist is rarely the right person to adapt the TV screenplay. Leaving the dreadful dialogue to one side, I think fundamentally, as brilliant an actor as Samantha Bond is, she is miscast. I don't know much about the other two members of the club, but they don't feel comfortable in their roles.
Yes, the TV and Film industry is not keen on offering roles to women of a certain age, but viewers are not happy with them casting the wrong women of a certain age, either.
The first two original episodes that launched this series were also dreadful, and the production team should have said no to Thorogood adapting or writing further episodes. They should have kept Ms Bond, but recast, if not two of the other women, definitely the black actress, whose name i don't know, and replaced her with the amazing and versatile Tanya Moodie. She has great comic timing and is a very fine actress.
I hoped that if a series was commissioned, the producers would at least try to make it better than it's first outing, but they failed and the 3 actresses just haven't gelled. Bond is phoning in her performance and the whole script of episode 1, series 2 is dreadful.
I'm sure Thorogoods words are fine on the page between the book cover, but it hasn't transferred to TV at all well for me.
The readers of the books, are rarely the people who will watch a series based on them, as the reader has an image of the characters and the actors can never be as imagined, so 80 to 90% of the viewers are coming to it blind, therefore it gives the adapter a free rein to pad out and make the main characters real. Thorogood failed!
I don't care who killed Sir Peter, so I won't be watching any further, and if you're reading this, there must be something better you can do on Hump Back Wednesday night's.

The arrogance of Zemeckis is a disgrace to the academy!
This film is dreadful and people should avoid seeing it in their droves. The only accolade that should be laid at its door is to award it the Biggest Flop in Film history.
Why he didn't just make the film about the history of the house in the film from the people who built the house to those who lived in it during the next 200 years, in an actually linear method, with decently written stories.
I doubt most of the acting talent were aware of the intentions of the makers to make this dogs dinner of a film!
People, save yourselves 95 minutes of your lives, your money and be anywhere but anywhere near 'Here'.

I had been looking forward to this film. It starred off fine, Almut collected eggs, put them in a bowl and as she began to whisk them she must also have whisked up the edit because the film is just a series of disconnected vignettes, flitting back and forth.
Due to the non-linear format of the film it was difficult to connect with or care about either of the leads or their story.
The Producer and the Director took the wrong decision to make the film in this way.
The only things about this film I actually cared about were, how did their daughter take the news of her mothers illness. What happened to Tobias' car once the traffic jam ended. And finally, how did Tobias & the daughter get home from school the day Almut forgot them.
My advice to the film makers is, before the UK release, they take the film and re-edit it for a more sequential film, sure, have a flashback occasionally but not the whole film.
I have given the 5 stars for all the performers in the film, they did their bit, not knowing the film will be a disjointed mess. Such a shame.
