I found out about this movie after reading the rap book A book which Chronicles the decade of rap from the 1980s to today I don't remember which section it was at one point they mentioned this movie and me being a fan of documentary I decided hey what the heck I'm going to watch it and it did not disappoint at all. This is another adults disgusted with a certain trend that the kids are doing or something like that and usually when it comes to Graffiti and stuff you'd usually tend to disagree with what they're doing but this movie actually makes the graffiti artist look like the heroes and actually makes us sympathize with them. The film dives into the graffiti art scene and see that there's more to it than some kids spray painting on subways and walls. It makes the adults look like criminals much like the punk rock documentary is like DOA Rites of Passage or heck even Decline of Western Civilization part 1 and 2 (mainly 2) Their not bad kids they just don't get attention and need a way to express themselves kinda like me (except I don't wear safety pins or headbang i watch rap battles). Overall not one of my favorites but I dig it I probably watch it again definitely. My rating is seven out of 10.
This has got to be one of my new favorite films in the world. My favorite part of this film was the street interviews I think they added some detail to what this was all about and just because I like documentaries that follow real people doing real life things.
Favorite Scenes:
The guys chatting and telling "yo mama" jokes Rance Allen's performance The crowd dancing during the Rufus Thomas performance.
Crowd rushing the field The guy who kept showing off when Thomas was trying to get them off the field.
The Bar-keys performing Son of Shaft.
There's so much to unpack how good this film is that if sat here and kept typing I'd probably be here for days.

Talk about a show that is needed more today than ever, the fact that this show did not have the notoriety that it deserves is criminal. It's basically an after school special meant for adults. It follows 5 or 6 young adults discussing life issues and things most adults have to go through like sex, violence, money and guts. In my opinion this is proof that not all adult animated TV shows have to have violence and Gore they don't even have to be comedic they can be like this show an insightful piece of life that most can relate to especially me. The late 90s and early to mid 2000s look makes you feel all nostalgic inside and reminds you of a way better time to be alive what a great show that definitely needs to be renewed.
