I'd give it a 10 for Nicole Byer alone!
23 December 2021
It's not a bad little show.... Nicole Byer is absolutely amazing! I hate to say it she's the best storyline but it's fun. It's sort of like the league and even though not every joke hits she's hilarious enough to make you watch the show in my opinion. (also for that reviewer that claimed this is the "black friends" that is very disrespectful! Know your history! Friends was the white living single! They stole the concept look it up!) Honestly NBC (and everyone else!) give this show a chance! It's fun and did I mention Nicole is hilarious!?!!

BB and Wonderful!!!
12 December 2021
I almost think these negative reviews are planted because if you know anything about the Nicole and listen to her podcasts this show fits right in. Nicole did a wonderful job as always! I laughed and laughed! I honestly think Nicole is one of the best comedians right now and I thought that this was a wonderful stand up and one of the funniest Netflix standup specials I think I've ever seen! Your wonderful Nicole never change of thing!!

"Believe Lindsey! Believe!"
2 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This was the worst episode! I had forgotten about this episode! I thought oh the TV show it's on Hulu I'll rewatch it and then I got to this episode. I know the show was always struggling and maybe they felt they had to do something like this so they could stay on but I read that this was the episode that made the network decide to cancel the show so it didn't help. It just doesn't make sense or go with anything they did before. Honestly I'm surprised there are not more negative user reviews or this one. There is only one other person who felt the way I did. Obviously whoever wrote this one had never done marijuana! The nerd storyline was Still cute as usual but the Lindsay one felt like an after school special. When the old hippie counselor is telling them to watch out how much weed they smoke my eyes almost rolled out of my head! Also I got that Nick is a pothead but this whole oh my gosh! Weed makes you just incapable of doing anything when we all know that that is not the case was tired even when this episode first aired and the whole I believe in God and the reason you're stoned is because you don't believe in God was awful!

Can we get a decent writer up in the joint!
24 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It opens with her in NA and something falls out of her bag, it looks like drugs she looks at the guy next to her and it's obvious they're going to screw later. Then she goes to see the nice boyfriend. he's just the typical clueless, one dimensional boyfriend. This episode I'm getting vibes of Californication because the quip way they deal with addiction. It's obvious these white male writers don't have have their fingers on the pulse of modern culture. Their idea of edgy is 'let's have a young black teen talk about doing a sex tape?!' Wow! Wasn't that the subplot for Big Little Lies! Can we get some diverse writers involved who can breath a little life into this tired mess? I really like Anna Paquin so I keep trying to give this a chance but even her presence seems out of place. At first I thought maybe setting it in America my have been better because the celebrity is different but now I think it all comes down to the writing.

Full of cliches
24 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Now I've seeing some reviewers called this "PC garbage!" I don't know what they're talking about. It's created by a white man and the opening scene made fun of a brown gay man so I don't know what they are going on about! I just find it the same tv cliches I've seen a 100 times there's a little bit of fashion shamming towards the beginning that seemed straight ripped from The Devil wears Prada. I'm also reminded of another British show Belle De Jour because she is high powered but wow is her personal life a mess! Down to her sleeping on her sisters sofa in the first episode was straight from Belle. I'm also reminded ofthe American show dirt with Courteney Cox which also dealt with a high powered woman in the celebrity world and how her personal life was such a mess! Can't we find a new angle! Dialogue is so far uninspired and maybe the celebrity chef guy is attractive by British standards but really we're supposed to believe this guys some kind of hunk who she just can't refuse that's all been done before. ' he's the one man she can't refuse and turns her back into just a girl!' Ugh give me a break! Scandal already did this concept and better!

Surprisingly good!
26 December 2020
So I'll be honest I read the first book a little while back when I heard there was a show coming out (and there was a deal on Audible where you could listen to it for free) and I was not a big fan. I found it kind of smarmy and cliché but this first episode is really fun! they took all the best parts and seem to have kind of eliminated the parts that were boring to me, mainly the slow pace and some of the smarmy dialogue. Also the casting is great! there's been other period pieces now that have used diverse cast so relax and enjoy! Oh and Julie Andrews is lady Whistle-down! Who could ask for me?

A lot of fun with some relevance. Are we adult women or we 30 something going on 13. Miranda gets braces, Carrie dates a man who still lives with his parents and works in a comic book store. Trey still can't get it up for Charlotte but he can go solo. Samantha has plans party a party for 13 year old more adult then her. It deals with how even when we're all grownup were still an insecure clueless kid at our core trying to survive.

"You think I look this good by eating!"
6 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Good episode and much funnier then the previous episode when they arrive in L.A. loved the addition of Carrie Fisher and Vince Vaughn (back when he was still entertaining!) Vince is a fake agent. Samantha and her fake bag get in trouble at the playboy mansion, Miranda observes what L.A. can do to a New Yorker and Charlotte realizes her marriage is a fake. It's a good episode that light heatedly deals with how deceiving appearances can be.

"F$$k Me! F$$k you and f$$k the horse you rode in on!"

Warning: Spoilers
I heard many good things about this and in fact there is some very good stuff here. Viola Davis is amazing and the ultimate boss of course the scene with the dog is smart but ultimately wasted. Liam Neeson is excellent as always. But as a whole it's not a hundred percent coherent. Also the main boss played by the actor from Get Out was a mistake. He was very unbelievable as the head of a crime family. This Movie needed to be streamlined. I understand this was based on a British tv show which makes sense. I believe this would have worked better as limited series on HBO or Netflix or something. Also and this is petty but many scenes looked as though they were shot in the dark. This is a relatively new trend I can't stand! I want to see what I'm looking at and the actors expressions. I don't want to strain my eyes to see. Ultimately there are some interesting concepts and great talent but it never fully comes together causing me to lose a large degree of interest. Also all viola had to do is kill her husband and Robert Duval and steal the money to get the crime lords off her back? Really!?!

Let's put metal Barbs in our faces and starve ourselves!
5 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This is where we really start getting really crazy!! The women decide to find out their biological age. (maybe that's a thing?) Then they try to look and feel younger and possibly lower their bio age. When Gwen goes and does a vampire facial (OK that is nuts there are no proven benefits of pumping your blood from one part of your body into your face!) while another woman put iron barbs in her face after they said they wouldn't do implants. Then Gwen basically starved her self. It was a mess!

Rock n' roll orgasm!
5 February 2020
This was my favorite! I've actually heard of Betsy Dodson before. Although once again I have to say she's an artist, not a scientist or doctor But she did say a lot of helpful things about the orgasm...Also it was funny! I'm sorry I have to say it! when the women were sitting naked in the sauna! but I think maybe this episode was the most helpful and legitimately interesting to me, especially as a woman. which is why it's kind of a shame it's lumped in with the pseudoscience that is in the show but I got to say I love Betsy she is awesome!

An old Scot throws women into freezing water
5 February 2020
I'm sorry no! Yes a lot of people do take cold showers and find it helpful, however basically all this man did was breathing exercises and tie people in blankets and throw them in freezing water. He had no credibility, he said he was a former athlete and that made sense because the majority of it was athletic breathing which is good but I saw no science to back anything up.

Mushrooms in Jamaica
5 February 2020
I kind of watch the show as a joke because It made me laugh! These crazy white people falling for whatever goop says. However, some of these things in my opinion really do help people. unfortunately it's lumped in with pseudo science. people have been talking about using mushrooms and Microdosing to help with anxiety and PTSD for awhile and there is proof it can be helpful. so while I think it's good that they are showcasing that I did find it a little weird we had to go to Jamaica to do this I felt like that made it look kind of silly. Also it made it seem less scientific
