If you thought Time Bandits 2024 would be like the original 1981 Time Bandits, it isn't. The original movie was quirky and fun. The characters worked together amazingly well. The plot line was a running joke from start to the befuddled Supreme Being's appearance and the fire brigade scene. So far I've only watched episode one. This is only basically similar in the overall storyline. The rest is difficult to watch. The characters don't have the same charm and impact, which is what happens when you go for politically correct rather than Peter Dinklage. The 'adult' characters simply don't work. The boy is marginally better. Kal-El (shades of Krypton) is a reasonably good actor but doesn't work as well as Craig Warnock. Instead of a history nerd they've turned him into a walking history book in all detail, too much detail. All in all, I'm going to try episode 2 but I don't hold out much hope that this attempt at remaking a Monty Python based movie into a tv series is going to work.
Seriously, the adjective list and expletives that would be necessary to describe this demented train wreck of a show simply aren't enough. Even if I repeated them over and over the English language simply does not have enough appropriate verbiage or sufficient negative adjectives to begin to describe her show. I'm not even sure if I can come up with enough letters to be allowed to post a review on here. The only positive, and I mean the ONLY positive I can find with her show is that I'm not locked in a prison cell somewhere and forced to watch this vapid garbage pretending to be entertainment.
Minimum character limit met. And I didn't cuss once.
