This series has potential, but they wasted it. Hear my reasons why; This is an adaptation of a very popular British TV series. They should've given their full effort and best to make a new version. The cinematography and set design is somewhat okay, lacking and looks kinda cheap. Color grading is chaotic. Colors are different in every scene. Sound is unbalanced.. Background noises/music are too overpowering. Who edited this? A fifth grader?? The story is cliché, repetitive, tiring. There's no twists and turns. They just made a lame remake. I don't get the praises given by the viewers of this show. Maybe, all of them are from the Philippines.. that's why. But coming from a viewer outside the Philippines, this is a no no for me.
I was excited to see this when I heard the news that there's going to be a new remake of Doctor Foster. I've seen The World of the Married, and that was a great series. It surpassed the original, and really exceeded my expectations. I subscribed to this app called iwant tfc so I'll be able to watch The Broken Marriage Vow (since it's not available on Netflix), but I realized I made the biggest mistake of my life. Skip this. It's not worth it. There are many quality good tv series on Netflix that are worth watching.
