Watching a play on film is a unique experience. It forces you to listen to every word and not count on lots of action to keep you engaged. The words of The Last Word absolutely capture you. It made me think about all of the things left unsaid in my marriage or other relationships. We choose what we share. Barbara Niven and John Kapelos brilliantly share all those words that were left unspoken. To me Niven is that Hallmark auntie. In this film she reveals what a terrific actress she actually is. This is a film to watch on demand on your television or at least your laptop. Some may overlook this film because it is a play. Don't do that. It's splendid.
