I love watching war movies and I've watched so many that I've lost count. This is by far one of the best! It's more of a Historical Drama, but it really gives the audience key points to what Korea was dealing with leading up to the Japanese occupation.
What a lesson of what to beware of when other countries offer their "help"! I think History professors worldwide would be wise to recommend this series to their students.
We could learn a lot from South Korea.
They're one of the only countries to follow The Law of War.
The actors are excellent.
The story is excellent.
The action scenes are excellent.
All of the characters are excellent, including all minor roles; even those played by young children.

This is a well balanced action movie, with humor, great acting, and highly interesting/ well choreographed fighting scenes.
The story line has some fun twists and turns, a few surprises, and plenty of chuckles.
Kim Young-Kwang is perfect for this role! His facial expressions alone could carry his acting...full of a myriad of circumstances. T. Cruise could learn a lot from him. His best role yet!
Lee Sun-bin carries her own action with beauty and finesse. The secondary characters just add to the story in the way they are supposed to, supportive but not overbearing.
One of my favorite films!
