Love Is Blind (2020)
Support known hate groups
I was a little taken aback by the fact that they air two contestants proudly claiming their affiliations with a known hate group. I realize there are bigoted people out there and that those people also seek out love, but I feel like maybe this clip should have been cut from the show. Not sure if the producers are trying to push an agenda or if they are just adding it in there for the drama of it all, but I found it very disgusting. Especially considering they bragged about having photos on display at home of a man who is known for his hatred/bigotry towards other minority groups. Overall I think these producers have absolutely zero sense of ethics to air content like this. This show is trash.
Pride & Prejudice (2005)
Great on-screen chemistry between Keira Knightly and Matthew Macfadyen
I'm not usually too into romantic dramas but I loved this movie! It's very well-written and they picked the perfect cast. Acting and timing was on point, and the chemistry between the main character and her love interest could be felt through the screen. I also appreciate the cinematography style in this film. There were some well-choreographed long-shots that are masterpieces.
I do not have anything negative to say about this movie and sincerely hope everyone can watch and get the enjoyment out of this movie that I have. I love every re-watch just as much as I loved watching it for the first time.
Griselda (2024)
Very Innacurrate Depiction of Griselda
I am very disappointed because of how they portrayed Griselda Blanco. The real Griselda was a notoriously ruthless woman who had children and babies assassinated. She was also very sadistic and trying to portray her as anything other than a psychopath is insane to me. It feels like they were trying to make her a feminist icon or something. I am, of course, very supportive of feminism, but there are way better historical figures to depict in order to send this message. It's honestly insulting to feminism in my opinion. I would not waste your time with this series if you value historical accuracy at all.
School Spirits (2023)
Ending was not satisfying at all
This show was good until the ending. It's one of those scenarios where they just made up some type of ghostly magic that for all we know didn't exist, and use that to explain her death in a way that sets it up for a Season 2.
That style of writing is very lazy in my opinion, and I feel like I wasted my time watching this show, just for them to make up some ghost magic in the last 15 minutes to explain what happened.
I think if they are going to use a room that the living world could mysteriously see people in as well as using possession in the explanation of Maddie's death, then they should've have shown some type of foreshadowing in the film or something to indicate that those are possible before the last 15 minutes.
The Hating Game (2021)
Seems like the script was written by men who've never had a coworker
First of all, have the writers ever had a coworker?
Second, are we going to pretend that a man who has a thing for his coworker and records her outfits in his planner and paints his wall her eye color is not creepy as hell?
This script definitely needed more input from women.
