I honestly feel sad for the people who gave such hard criticisms in the reviews here. To each their own but you make it out as horrible when it's actually genuinely really good.
The cast was picked very well in my opinion. The pacing can be a bit fast in the beginning but the books are really quick paced as well and the movies? Don't get me started about those. So that's totally fine for me. I like the character designs and CGI, I think it's close enough to the book descriptions while adding something new to entertain the original audience with new details to pick up on. So it won't get boring for anyone.
It is, in the end, a show about kids for kids. It doesn't need to be extremely dark to fit the audience of childhood readers from over ten years ago and adjust to their age. I really want it to bring in new fans from all around. All ages and places, so they can share the excitement we book fans have for this story.
For me this is a new way to enjoy a story I loved since I was a child. A way to show my parents why I love it and how it's supposed to be. For me it's diving back into the same story with new found emotions and for something great like the Percy Jackson universe I think that's exactly what I needed.

Personally I enjoy this show a lot, we're at only two episodes right now but I'm looking forward to each sunday I get to watch it again. Off and Gun as always have the best chemistry and great acting, both fitting the genre and doing something very light after their last project Not Me, which was way darker. I like the comedy aspect, it's silly but not over the top and makes me laugh a lot!
The side actors are also interesting, Neo just being amazing as always and Aungpao does a good job on his first ever series!
The storywriting doesn't seem to deep in the beginning but by my knowledge of the story behind the novel, it will get deeper, more interesting and is supposed to focus on some society issues as well.
I hope everyone will give it a chance, no matter if you're into cooking shows or not. It's serious about the cooking part with workshops for the actors and real chefs being on set, the food shown so far looked really amazing!
This is Off and Gun going back to their roots in Puppy Honey while adding their new build up chemistry over the past years to their fun side. It's not as sad or dramatic as Theory of Love, it's not as serious and dark as Not Me, it stands for itself by being their next project that will prove they're here to keep working together.

I already had high expectation for this show because of the amazing cast and the promising trailer but the trailer can't show how amazing this show is as a whole. The cinematography, the soundtrack, the acting, the script, every single character... the way it's really thought through and they put so much effort in making this as good as it is. Best show ever. Would tell anyone to watch it as soon as possible.
