I love this film. It reminds me of my brother and his friends, sad but true. It's such a fun experience to watch and the jokes don't get old. It doesn't seem to age with time, except of course the store they all work in. The cast really work well together and accentuate Steve Carrell's character. The jokes are sometimes rude but tactfully done. And the plot has a decent amount of depth. There are a large number of funny scenes, which I think makes the pace so perfect. It's just one of those films that if it's on TV, I can't help but stop and watch it. Again. It's great fun and I recommend it for anyone with a mature sense of humor.
I watched -- From Under The Bridge -- today online with my family. We all cried. I think for different reasons. My sister was bullied as a child and the film really got to her. I have been bullied at work and i connected with the film in lots of ways. Especially with the subtle way it showed people not doing anything about the bullying when they could - this was well done. My brother and dad got teary. They said because the film was just that good -- and it really is. Then we had to look into it more online. I don't want to spoil things for others so let me just say this -- kudos to the writer-director -- you deserve serious recognition for this film. For me it's perfect -- and I think my whole family agrees. Tip: Watch it on a bigger screen (not a computer) -- you will get more out of the cinematography -- which is great.
