Really enjoyed this show and was a little sceptical because of the terrible reviews for the Brad and Angelina movie.
I never watched the movie, but based on the trailers it looks action focused and cheesy.
This show focuses more on the relationship development between the 2 main characters and you feel genuine growth as the season continues.
Things to bear in mind: 1) It's very episodic, so the timeline between episodes is hard to gauge, but once you realise that, it makes sense.
2) The episodes can be a slow burn and then bham! ......it smacks you in the face with great dialogue and action.
3) Don't expect a typical spy drama/comedy.
All in all Donald Glovers production is fabulous, plus the acting, chemistry and likability of both characters is immense.

The main failure of this show is the lack of real connection to the main characters mindfulness sessions and the actions he takes.
The mindfulness sessions are mainly shown as flashbacks during the on screen action that the session relates to. Therefore it seems more like the show is justifying behaviour rather than the character acting on what he has learnt in therapy.
There are a few plot holes, but they are easy to overlook due to the playful nature of the show.
If you're looking for something light hearted and not too intense to have on in the background, then this show will do the trick. Although it's strange calling it light hearted considering the nature and levels of violence.
Ignore the comparisons to Dexter or Better Call Saul, this show doesn't come close.

Like most shows episode one was decent and with this being from the pen of Guy Ritchie I was looking forward to 7 more episode of posh gangster gold. But it all falls flat from episode 2.
The male and female protagonists constantly engage in monotone conversations with each other which make you wish they would just open their moves and speak properly.
They cross each other, then forgive each other and then betray each other, then someone else crosses them and so on.
This is nothing like the film of the same name and perhaps should have just been a 2 hour movie rather than 8 drawn out episodes.
The 8 and 9 out of 10 ratings must be from people who rated after watching the first episode.
