Someone with a fancy computer said, 'write a film set in a US Consulate in Germany with a woman with PTSD who loses her son, and there is a conspiracy'. Unfortunately, no one looked at the script or made changes when making the movie. Dumb writing throughout.
Good. There are some decent action scenes once you get past the 5'6 "120lb supermodel-looking girl tossing 6-2 250 trained assassins. Sorry, Hollywood. We have been unable to recapture the Linda Hamilton/Sigourney Weaver magic. I was about to give it 5 stars...until they let the villain explain their entire plan for no reason at all except for the audience's speech. Just dumb.

I understand, but I do not agree with films that prioritize action over substance. If you do that, make sure the action is enough to cover up the acting, character development, story, direction, and writing.
This movie forgets the memo.
Acting: Okay, considering the material Story: It's a confusing mess. There's political drama, a son with daddy issues, bad cops, yakuza, and the clenched rookie cop who saves the day.
Action: There is plenty of action. Problem? The shaky cam is taken to an extreme, with scenes that are all jumpy for no reason at all. Second? No realism, not even a feeble attempt. About 20 Yazuki with automatic weapons are being fended off with one shotgun and one revolver(with endless bullets). That alone tells you how stupid some scenes are. Third, you don't know what is happening or why. There are plenty of punches, people going down, plenty of shootings, people falling down, but the direction/editing is so bad that you do not know who is punching/shooting who.
Lastly, we never find out how a drug thief who previously was afraid of any violence took out about 10 yakuza/military people with a cleaver. JUST STUPID.

I lasted 29 minutes, which was 28 minutes too long.
First problem: The musical score was so loud that it overpowered the scene. I had trouble hearing a plane explode because the score was ratcheted all the way to an 11. The score continues throughout the whole movie..for some strange reason.
Second....military. Military personnel are trained to use rifles. So these trained soldiers cannot hit someone that is 9 ft away. I can hit someone with a rubber band from 12ft away without missing, yet four soldiers at point-blank range with automatic weapons could not.
Third...there is no natural dialogue. Each interaction are a series of one-liners that explains the plot.
Just bad...just bad.
