The 100 (2014)
Teenage Dystopian Society
Let me tell you.. this is the best sci-fi Dystopian show ever! I love the drama, because it's not all teenage drama after the first few episodes. It's truly about survival after a nuclear war, how human-kind responded, and how Earth evolved from it. Human-kind get spread throughout space and each culture adapted and created their own beliefs.
It starts off a little sci-fi then goes backwards and jumps into full sci-fi mode. The show tries to ease you into the sci-fi aspect then it just jumps in.
It's so amazing the way the show portrays all of it. It's just amazing work, from the languages, scenery, and creative ending.
The Society (2019)
Better than I hoped!
I just finished watching the series "The 100" and really into the dystopian society shows, and I picked this. People commented how the tonnages weren't concerned about surviving, but there is a small group that is. I think it's more realistic, because they're kids and they think it's all temporary. I like the drastic differences in some of the characters. It makes it much more unpredictable and exciting. I hope they're doing another season. I've heard nothing but good feedback about this show, then COVID happened and no new seasons. Make if enough of us pump up the rating and complain to the network, they'll have more seasons?
Haunt (2019)
Haunted House Turns Killer House
I'm really glad that somebody finally captured a good haunted house turns horror house movie. I've been waiting for someone to do a haunted house, escape room, type of horror movie, and it does not disappoint. Obviously, it starts off normal and slowly they realize that they're stuck in a haunted house full of killers. They have to go through booby traps, find out how to survive the haunted house and make it out alive. We eventually learned that they are not the first people to go through this haunted house and this group has killed multiple people. I feel like the plot is good and it keeps you on your toes.

Toxic Work Environment Meets a Killer
So this is a translated movie, but I feel the voices would be a good match for the characters, which makes me actually like the character voices. You can tell from the beginning it's a weird kind of toxic work environment and later on you get to see how toxic it becomes. I feel like from the beginning the main character is kind of ostracized from the rest of the group, because apparently she was on some sort of leave of absence that makes all the other characters think she's kind of crazy.
Of course a killer shows up at this creepy ass camp and starts killing off people. It's hard to guess who it could be because there are so many people that would probably want to kill office people. Once the killer appeared, the movie became good. It's still comedy, with a little bit of "The Office", killer movie. I do feel like it showcases every type of worker and a toxic work environment which is cool.
Vivarium (2019)
Long and Drawn Out
I have very mixed feelings about this movie. It is a long drawn out movie where the couple is stuck raising a baby. It just seems to go on and on and the husband seem to be going crazy. The only thing I really hated about the movie was the annoying screaming tantrums. There is so much downtime in the movie that you could probably play a game on your phone during this movie and not miss anything. At the end, we have a sort of "Alice" following the "white rabbit" into a hole. Honestly, the end is just really weird and I feel like the movie could have used that much earlier on and gone into depth about it. I don't know that I would watch this again. That being said it is a psychological thriller it's all about mind games.
Cobweb (2023)
Good but abrupt awkward ending
I wasn't sure about the movie just because of the fact they're in investigating a knocking in the walls. It starts off with a what's in the walls and moves into what in the world is going on in that household. You start to get an eerie sense that the household is not what it seems and surprise it's not. It's a good movie. However, I do think the ending was abrupt. It seems like the writers just got tired at the end of the movie and wanted it to stop.
It does seem like the whole movie builds up to this one point at the end and it leaves you with a good bit of questions concerns and what's going to happen next.
Anna and the Apocalypse (2017)
Catchy, Funny, Christmas, and Zombies
First off let me tell you the main two characters are hilarious. If you don't already know about this movie, it is a musical. I know it sounds weird, but it's a comedy musical zombie apocalypse movie. If you'd like, horror, movies, and you like comedy then just try it. I'm not into musicals, but this one was laid out so perfectly, and there's not too much music. I'm one of those weirdos that likes to watch horror movies from October all the way to the end of the year, and I always watch this movie around Christmas time. This comedy zombie apocalypse is a funny and keeps you on your toes throughout the whole movie. Yes, there's lighthearted parts but there's also zombies running around.
Love and Monsters (2020)
Zombieland with Monsters
This movie is a great mix of action, comedy, and a little love interest. Think Zombieland meets mutant monsters (minus the zombies). It's not a scary movie, but it's action packed. The monsters that they created are incredible. I love all the details of the monsters and how different they are.
It's about a goofy guy getting in contact with his ex who is 85 miles away, and he travels on the surface to go get her during the monster apocalypse. The characters he made along the way are really cool. His journey is hilarious and inspiring. I can't get over how realistic the monsters look. They are just incredible!
