For lovers of experimental /arthouse cinema, The Berlin Bride is a little gem. Beautifully shot in muted, pastel and nostalgic tones with sparce dialogue and a plot revolving around a missing shop mannequin, the film is at times surreal and dreamlike but ultimately quite touching as it deals with themes of loneliness and obsession. It's a film made by a true lover of cinema and a great storyteller.
For fans of English folklore and the supernatural, this is a must see. A riveting and sometimes chilling collection of tales from an accomplished storyteller. I feel like I should watch this space as each of the stories has the potential to be an incredible movie in their own right! A great watch!
A beautifully shot and heartfelt drama dealing with the aftermath of trauma. Engaging and realistic performances by all the cast. This is a great, thoughtful film - a slow burn that will stay with you long after the credits role. Highly recommended.
