I saw S4 on Danish TV and came to the conclusion that the combination of Jason Watkins and Tala Gouveia does NOT work anymore. How is it possible to place Dodds with that amateur actress who ruines all the stories by her unbelievable bad performance! Furtheron also needed a whole new crew of story writers as it got worser and worser with S3 and now S4. Bath is a great decor for thrilling stories so that's OK. But also the influence of Chief Superintendent Mary Ormond is truely both annoying and boring. Private matters should not conflict the stories. So I hope either Jason Watkins gets another partner and another Chief Superintendent or this series evolves into the Dodds Solo Show. And also the violins may stay...
Sorry but this movie is 1 too much!, what a waste of everything, what a spoiled cast, especially all gang members runned by 83yo Jon Voight. This actor should have retired already because he doesn't have that special appearance to act like it should be. Just concentrate on Santa movies for adults, as kids will run away as fast as they can when they see you Mr. Voight. The story is also very poor, annoying and irritating. And another known actor as Jonathan Rhys Meyers spoils all his energy here by making his worst performance ever! Mercy is probably the worst hostage movie ever made. With so-called acting tough guys who really look like the weakest kind of sponsy characters.
First of all: I could have written this comment to any of the 6 episodes John Carpenter's Suburban Screams; the format of this spectacular announced TV Series does not work at all for me. The pace is way too slow to make us scream nor shiver nor shudder! And the cast is terrible in all the six parts. So, it's a real shame that people make this kind of stuff and I can't understand why John Carpenter, as a master of the horror genre, labelled his name to this stuff. It's OK to compose the theme with his son Cody and his godson Daniel Davies, and acting as one of the executive producers of this show, and -yes- also directing the last episode Phone Stalker, it's way below his level. Ofcourse we appreciate his opening narrating words: "In our suburbs, evil lurks behind closed doors. True stories so terrifying because the horror is real. You'll never look at your neighbors the same way again." But after 6 episodes I concluded that none was really scary nor let me shiver, shudder, scream. What a deception. OK, the last episode i enjoyed some more suspense...
Fortunately I was comforted after watching the six episodes of the new season 4 of Creepshow.
