I have just seen this movie for the first time. This movie is almost half of the century old and tell the story of Chinese-Taiwanese-USSR conflict. A Soviet tanker was attacked by Taiwanes army and the crew was taken into prison. The story goes as Taiwanese government (allied with USA at the time) tries to convince crewman and their captain to sign papers of refusing return to the USSR. The movie is based on a true story.

Well may be it is another prapoganda movie made during SOVIET times, but it is still excellent movie. I'm not sure if a people without a communist background can really understand it, but could just check it out.

I think this was one of those very rare times when I came out of the cinema and really felt bad about spending $8. Very disappointed with Nick Gianopolis and the rest of his crew... I actualy liked WOG BOY and his stand up live show and I guess this was the reason I went to see this one. This movie is BAD. I will never see it again! If it will be on TV I'll change the channel! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

In the early 90s this soap was huge hit in Russia! All of hungry-to-know western culture russians, learned America through Santa Barbara. I moved to Australia in 94 and we were about half way through a series. It was mad! I and my whole family (and I guess 90% of ex-USSR) loved it! Everything would stop during an hourly episodes. There were numerous jokes made around "Santa Barbara" and if man and wife were having argument, people would say "they are having a Santa Barbara" Well unfortunatly (or may be fortunatly) I never got to see the end of it. I wounder how it all ended there.
