For the love of GOD!!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!
14 July 2006
Warning: Spoilers
There comes a point in every man's life when he must decide whether to gouge out his own eyes with a dull and fiery hot spoon ... or watch this movie.

I wish I had taken the 1st option.

In fact, I wish that I had more than 1 set of eyes to gouge out.

I once thought that it would be fun to try to see the worst movie ever made. I believe now that I have. This movie is not even bad in a fun way, it's just bad.

At one point, I thought that maybe this movie was meant to showcase the talent of the Killer Barbies (Note: the movie spells their name wrong). I tried to find the talent they were showcasing, and it too was terrible.

Like Polio, this should be wiped from the face of the Earth.
28 August 2004
Let's start off with the best part of the movie. Steve Harvey. This man is usually funny, or at least mildly humourous. In this movie, he had maybe 5 lines, all of them not funny. We would believe that he, as a dance off judge, has more power than the apparent bad ass "gansta" boss.

The dancing looked good. I commend the people in the movie for their talent, but the movie stank. Like an old septic system. The acting was substandard at best, the direction poor, timing lousy and the characters were 2 dimensional. Not to mention that the "competition" movie is a terrible cliche.

I wanted to write a better review, but I feel as if a percentage of my brain wasted away while watching this horrible thing.

Don't bother with it.

The King of Queens (1998–2007)
Excellent show, but not as original as everyone thinks
1 March 2001
First off, let me say that this is an excellent show and I do watch it somewhat regularly, but to call this show original is an insult to Canadians.

There was a TV show on in Canada in the 70's called "King of Kensington" about a middle class overweight man with an attractive wife who lived with a cantankerous, comedic in-law. Seems to me like this is EXACTLY the same formula as the "original" King of Queens with only a couple of minor differences.

Don't get me wrong, I recommend King of Queens to everybody, but at least give some credit where credit is due.

Its amazing how many Canadian TV shows and movies get re-made in the US and we get no credit.

This movie scared me out of my mind
1 October 2000
I was frightened from the first minute. It constantly had me on the edge of me seat.

Why?

IT WAS SOOOOOOO BAAAAAADD!!!!

Why was I scared?

Someone actually agreed to pay for this pile of drek.

Why was I on the edge of my seat?

This was because I was only barely able to restrain my instinct to run away screaming.

The only thing this movie had going for it was a couple of fine performances. I liked Jennifer Morrison, although she had very little to work with as an actress. Some characters just seemed the whole point of their being there was to either get killed or draw suspicion. No depth at all.

Just remember, if you hear the Urban Legend about the guy who saw a movie so bad it made him kill himself, it could be me.

Hollow Man (2000)
4/10
This should maybe have been called Hollow Plot
21 August 2000
First let me say, after seeing that movie, I want to be invisible. Why? Not because of all the cool things I could imagine myself doing, but because according to this movie being invisible makes you indestructible. There are only so times that a naked man can be burned alive, blown up, or smashed in the head.

I walked out of that movie thinking that I wanted that time in my life back. I am now 112 minutes closer to death with nothing to show for it.

I am a huge fan of the book.
13 May 2000
Two things.

1. I read the book 3 times over the last 15 years and I think it is one of the greatest sci-fi books ever written. The movie made an attempt, not a good one, but it was an attempt. As to the complaints of Terl being too overplayed, Travolta played him EXACTLY as he was written. He was meant to be a stupid arrogant evil bastard. At some points I even think he may have been underplayed.

2. I am not a scientologist nor do I believe anything they do. Having said that the thing that annoyed me most about this movie is not the movie itself, but all of the people spouting off about how this was so obviously influenced by Scientology.

Huh?

The book and movie are both completely UNRELATED to Scientology and Dianetics. Please people, go hunting witches elsewhere.

Interestingly enough, whenever Steven Spielberg makes a movie about jews, no one accuses him of trying to covert everybody.

Office Space (1999)

My praise to the makers of this movie.
23 February 1999
I think this movie is amazing. It is a tribute to those of us who are forced to live the life of a cubicle slave.

I would think that anyone who doesn't like this movie, must actually like their job. (shudder)
