This is a decent Afrikaans comedy and its good without trying too hard.
There is some crude sex jokes but for the most part it stay squeaky clean which when the Afrikaans movies started out again in 2007-2010 it was rear finding a good family comedy.
Neels van jaarsveld again delivers he is a very good actor.
But the parts that made the movie for me is all the scenes involving Julie stryjdom(lady DI roos) and shaleen surtie Richards(Gerda) HER facial expressions are priceless
If you want a good comedy that's suitable for the family with just a little bit of adult humor this is your movie

This is movies for children. Idiotic characterizations and quite a bit of sexism. A fair bit of slapstick. Nice trip around Knysna if you've never been there.

Don't be put off because the film has an Afrikaans sound track. The English sub-titles are more than adequate. Above all don't try to guess what's going to happen. The story line is pretty simple but there are so many twists and turns with bizarre characters twisting their way through that you'd never get it right. Add to that the visual beauty of Knysna and you've got a winning formula. I wouldn't be able to single out any of the cast as best. The director has melded them i to a hilarious group. The final scene is just that - a beautifully balanced climax. Finally, what a pleasure to have no violence, sex I'm prepared to bet you come out feeling refreshed -I certainly did.
I remember the days when feel good movies by South African directors made us all feel good. This is one of those original feel good movies. decent scripting, videography and acting as expected. A real friday night special if you are Afrikaans or want to experience some Afrikaans culture.
