Voice recording started in North Hollywood on May 23, 2015.
The script was written in 2014, voice recording started in 2015 and shooting started in 2016. Post-production ended in 2022. The time from writing to completion was therefore 8 years.
This movie features James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997)), Chris McDonald (Happy Gilmore (1996)), and Sid Haig (The Devil's Rejects (2005)). The entire movie will be performed by lifelike puppets, and produced as a surrealistic thriller/horror. It is a first of its kind production.
Sid Haig and Robert Englund have roles in this film, both starred together in Galaxy of Terror (1981)
The first puppet Les head was built from a life cast of an actor. However, the filmmakers realized this was an unnecessary step, and had the fabricators sculpt all future heads from scratch.
