I have read all the negative press this show has gotten & I watched because I have so little faith in the media and wanted to see for myself. This show is terrific. The characters play well against one another. The plots are good & will get better with time. The scene where Backstrom jumps on the back of the firefighter is dropped dead hysterical. I hope it gets renewed & lasts a long time because it is genuinely entertaining. It is not the run of the mill crime drama. Backstrom is not the run of the mill hero. However, that being said, it is a good watch & you will get roped into a fun hour. Don't let the media dogs ruin another possibly great show. Let the viewers decide, not the reviewers.
