Everything seems mundane in a mundane town in Bukit Pelandok Malaysia, but a young man's life is about to change. The main protagonists played by a well known Malaysian celebrity, Ernest Chong is about to set foot into New Zealand illegally to work. The story evolves a day before he leaves his home. He promises his to the girl he loves Ah Yi, played by a Malaysian celebrity Cynthia Tan that he will take her to a place where they will be together. A better place. He even lied to his whom he cares dearly that he will only be leaving for further studies in the city. 'Winter's Dream' explores the concept of 'Love experiences no depth, till the moment of separation.' Although in the film, it is based on the point of view of the protagonist's Kwong before he leaves, his importance of existence plays a role in the people beside him.
