Nana Menshah is a triple crown winner in this quiet film that has both comedy and humanity. She invites us along on her journey, no matter how personal or surprising it is to everyone. Herself included.
She has populated her world with people we have possibly all seen and heard, but probably have never known, or were afraid to get to know - which was definitely our loss. She did it in a way that we are all familiar with - the death of a loved one and having to deal with the relatives and friends and expectations that we are not only not aware of, but have little understanding of.
Nana Mensah has broadened my world, and I thank her for it. I cannot leave Meeko (Pitt!!) out. Can't help but think that he is as good a man off the screen as he is on it and I am so glad he was introduced to both Sarah and me.
THANK YOU, Nana Mensah for this lovely film that touched my heart and my soul. (From an old Wonder Bread white lady in The Ozarks.)
