This is a story of six friends, the only denizens of a place called Deep End, whose idyllic Country Club life is intruded upon by a cascading series of calamities that will change their lives forever. Kernel and his wife Betty have to rush to the hospital when their only child is taken seriously ill. Milton finds out that Verna is not his real mother. And that's the least of what she has to tell him. And as always, Leviathan is dodging questions of paternity. In spite of all the inevitable rivalries and jealousies, they all come together happily at the end. Or do they?
