Though far from perfect, "The Bodyguard" is an extremely entertaining Dorcel release that manages to maximize XXX sexiness while presenting a quality story film.
It's a gangster movie, opening with a stylized pre-credits sequence that not only features an energetic performance by American star Lily LaBeau, giving a gangster boss a blow job in his car that is shot like those Jean-Pierre Melville sleek '60s classics.
Inspired casting stars Anna Polina in the title role of "Godfather's Daughter", while Liza Del Sierra plays "The Bodyguard" -these are the English-language titles for the movie. They alternately clash and bond over the course of the occasionally violent story. Hollyday has concocted a number of vivid scenes, including Polina getting a XXX-rated massage from a gangster thug played by Neda that ends violently; a training session for woman boxers in a gym that is impressive, a moody, atmospheric orgy that is among the better stagings of that usually awful type of porn filler, and a strong lesbian climax for the two leading ladies.
Dorcel movies are well-produced but often suffer from an unfortunate sameness, but this one stands out as the Pythons used to say, providing "something completely different".
