After the success of the first season premiered on March 2, 2015, the media group Mediaset announced that same year that they would produce a new installment of the miniseries. Recorded between Madrid, Almería and Turkey, the second season has a new plot and new cast, with actress Paula Echevarría in charge of embodying one of the main characters. On this occasion, 'Los nuestros 2' focuses on the recruitment of women in the West to be part of the jihad. The new chapters start with a trap for a young Spanish woman to collaborate with terrorism in Syria. That is where the Spanish army will intervene to start a new mission.
