The Plot
There is nowhere to hide...nowhere to run...the Zombie Apocalypse has come, and our world now belongs to the dead! From Ireland, Canada, Australia, Europe and all over the U.S., the bone-chilling news reports tell the same gruesome tale - walking corpses terrorize and devour the living.
Only a few desperate humans find the courage to stand and fight for their last chance at survival.
But the hordes of undead keep coming, and there's only one thing on the menu - us.
Starts off very promising. In fact the beginning appears to be a film with substantial budget. There's plenty of action and really good special effects.
It's a weird movie. Sort like Monty Python on speed. It's sort of allover the place like a sketch comedy. Some of the CGI special effects are good and the pace is fast.
The Spanish Jesus is very strange. More blood than you've ever seen.
These sorts of films wear thin after a while and running at over 100 minutes is really too long.
Watch it if you have the time. But don't expect much.

5.1 of 10. What amounts to a collection of zombie short stories pulled together into something like a zombie theme park of a film where you go from one zombie ride to the next.
Most of the stories, other than the very beginning, involve over-the-top mocking of either zombie or general horror films/games and a lot of other normally untouched zombie territory. The emergency newscaster broadcasting the "apocalypse" reports blames it on Jesus, and we get to see the first Jesus-based zombie story I'm aware of outside of obscure comics.
No one is safe from mocking in this, which makes this irritating at times for people who enjoy zombie stories. Fortunately, there's enough of the core zombie ethic and no shortage of skull crushing and sneaky zombie groups to help it avoid being a zombie-hater film. What's missing out of all this, although brain eating is mentioned, is actual brain eating. None of the shorts deal with how a zombie gets to the brain outside of some super zombies that can crack the skull open and pull it out. They still don't eat it and all the other zombies are content with, literally, blood and guts, with an occasional exception that prefers an arm or a leg.

My quick rating - 5,2/10. For some reason this is getting ripped. The movie itself is a group of shorts tied together by a newscast that is taking place after the zombie apocalypse has arrived. Tough to review without breaking each segment down, but I'll make that easy. Two of them stand out by far. The Jesus zombie hunter segment at the beginning and the very much inspired fun at the beach segment at the end. The Jesus segment, along with quite a few others is strictly based upon humor often mocking fans of traditional zombie flicks. That is not to say that the idea of Jesus giving life to the dead isn't a funny way of looking at the beginning of zombies in general. I am also sure that many Christians were up in arms about this segment. The second segment is the "Dead Alive" homage, the last segment fun at the beach (I am making these names up). This gorefest of 10-15 minutes takes every page out of the classic Dead Alive and displays it to the letter. Right down to the laugh from the skull that ends p through a zombies head that is a direct sample of the laugh from the mutant zombie infant from Dead Alive. Great stuff. The rest of the movie is mere filler with some inside jokes and jabs at how stupid the characters act in zombie flicks with an instructional video or two for some assistance. Overall a fun flick that deserves more credit then it is getting.
Do not listen to the glowing five+ star reviews. This is extremely stupid and unfunny. It's some kind of idiotic anthology comedy. The best thing to come out of this was someone making a side scrolling beat 'em up out of the Jesus bit. The zombie makeup was atrocious z it looked like burnt eggs. Note to would be film makers. If you are trying to make a comedy it is best to make sure it is actually funny. If you can't make good jokes and sketches do not bother trying. It just makes a bad movie even worse and extremely painful to watch......
The wannabe Shaun of the dead sketch is the worst........

Extreme trash! I have never ever seen such trash.
I think i can make a much better video. I regret that I ever wasted my time on this thing. When Jesus attacks zombie with a fish.
There were some comedic ironical moments, but it's less than 1 minute on a hole movie.
this movie is a pack of several trash movies. So if you want to waste your time and money - this is the best option. I think that authors of this need to a hospital to check their mind health. They are sick. The genre of this movie is not a comedy, fantasy, action or something else - the genre is trash.
Please do not even waste your time.
OK, if we are not speaking about the plot, but the quality...sorry, but my old mother would have done much much better. You can easily notice a moniken (Doll) in jeans and sweater when some zombies takes their legs. Extreme, rude artificial non realistic trash. There is no plot, even for short movies, there is no quality, there is no real producers. I would give even 1/10 for a low quality school work, but to give this to a public???
If IMDb would let - i would give -10/10

To be honest, seeing the cover photo, along side with the name, I felt as if this was going to be some low budget. singular movie. But no, to my surprise .. "Zombieworld" turned out to be a fun, glorious zombie anthology winner! Of course, this movie, however had lots of flaws, the fact being this movie being pieced together by Dreadcentral shorts introduced. [ Correct me if I'm wrong ] It had some acting that was actually considerable, not as far, or in respectful aspects believable though; but in a way pieced together and won. Of course, this movie had multiple flaws when it came to seriousness, which this movie isn't meant to be, if any of you haven't figured out already. In the end, though, this anthology horror flick was what it was, it pieced together short films of which were scattered about from multiple directors into one film, each one tying in with dark comedy, gore, and some shocking situations / given visually to us audience.
I found the execution of this movie to be fun, and exciting. The movie decided to make the audience laugh with a constant news set up. A news anchor would constantly act horrible on purpose, just to give the audience a laugh, which was actually quite funny. The movie also executed "Scheduled alerts" of which commercial - like breaks showing zombie killing tutorials, demonstrating throw back horror at it's finest. With all of that being said, the execution WASN'T flawless, but entertaining, succeeding in it's comedy, and entertainment to the audience, all at the same time pleasing the zombie fans.
With all things said for this film, there's not exactly too much else to say of the film. Honestly, if you ask me, this wouldn't particularly be a film EVERYONE would like, depending in the range of the horror fan. This film, is in fact low budget; it dose, however it dose entertain, and keep the audience on they're feet, keeping them in range of dark comedy, horror, thrilling scares, and some dread. All of which leading to a success, making this film pretty freaking awesome for zombie lovers, I recommend it for horror fans looking for a crazy, fun time.

Although it includes some little humor, the quality of this film is far below its sequel, and it is true in all respects.
The problem this movie has is that it's going to get 1-star drive-by ratings by all the Christians who wore offending by the Christ scene, even if they haven't actually watched the movie (I say this as a Christian who thought it was funny).
This movie is better than 80 or 90 percent of the low budget zombie flicks out there. Sure it's not high art, but it's funny and original, even if somewhat uneven.
The movie is divided into scenes, woven together under the guise of a news broadcast. Some are Funny, others original, a few are duds.
Overall, it's well worth your time IF you are a zombie lover. If not, it wasn't even made for you.

Seriously you have to see this film, especially the "Fist of Jesus" , there are some effects that I haven't even seen in any modern zombie films like the half head with the eyes moving and the hilarious use of fish to kill zombies with the piranha getting the biggest laugh!
It is quite sacrilegious and I can see how some Christians would most definitely be offended by it but just take it in fun and you will enjoy it! Would have been nice if they could have added a mohammed sketch but I guess that will never happen.
The segment set on the beach has to be seen to be believed - once again there are some gut wrenching effects that are simply hilarious like the football head and most of the effects are quite simply amazing for such a low budget - i would say that some of them even beat z-nation and many other high end zombie films - simply superb!
Contrary to some reviews I found the inter-segment "how to survive a zombie apocalypse" skits quite amusing - I think the stabbing a zombie in the back of the head with a bicycle seat raised the biggest laugh - very unorthodox but effective! lol I have actually learned some very effective zombie survival secrets now for when the impending zombie apocalypse does happen so the movie is practical as well as funny! >;o)
Most of the movie is stitched together shorts - some good, some bad. Yeah its low budget, yeah its full of mistakes but yeah it is actually quite funny if you aren't an anal film reviewer with no sense of humour. Just open a beer , lie back and laugh (or not).

I knew about this 2015 movie titled "Zombieworld", but I just never had the opportunity to watch it before now in 2023. And given my love and admiration for all things zombie, of course I had to sit down and watch this one.
Well, I hadn't been missing out on a milestone in zombie cinema here, because this was essentially just an anthology of random stories set during a zombie outbreak. And it wasn't exactly anything overly thrilling or exciting that the writers had managed to churn out for the anthology. Sure, it was somewhat watchable, given the fact that it was a zombie anthology, but don't get your hopes up.
I managed to sit through all 71 minutes of "Zombieworld", but I was not overly entertained. And being a zombie fan, this movie hardly tickled me in any of the right places. This is not something I would recommend for zombie fans to rush out and get to watch. Take heed of the low rating that "Zombieworld" has managed to score, there is a reason for that.
The only familiar face on the cast list was Bill Oberst Jr. Not that the acting performances in "Zombieworld" were outstanding or particularly memorable.
Visually then "Zombieworld" was okay. It wasn't top notch and top of the line special effects and zombie make-up, nor was it among the worst of low budget rubbish that I have seen. And truth be told, the effects definitely helped to keep "Zombieworld" afloat.
Watchable for what it was, "Zombieworld" is not something I will return to watch a second time.
My rating of "Zombieworld" lands on a generous three out of ten stars.
