I'm not big on reviews, but I want to let Netflix know how great this show is and that we can't wait for a new season (for real, please!). The animation is beautiful, the message is moral, the premise is quasi educational. Compared to so much bright junk out there for kids, with no message or bad ones to boot, Puffin Rock is a show that I am confident in letting my child watch and enjoy. The music is very catchy and my daughter is always asking me to "sing Oona's song daddy" which is fun and short. The way they do episodes is also great for younger kids since they are 3 mini episodes in each 20 min episode. Come and play!
Keep it coming please!

This is my 2 year old's favourite show along with Sesame Street. He calls the show "Baba!"
Very good for adults too, super cute, we love the graphics, we are actually fans of the soft brushed graphics contrary to another reviewer. If this looked like every other show it wouldn't be as special. We also LOVE the actor who plays the narrator, great accent and very good narration. The show consists of 3 short stories that usually educate on a subject or has a morale at the end.
Having it on in the background is not just tolerable, but enjoyable. We are confident that the content is appropriate for our son and the lessons are ones we want him to learn.
Great great show!

Netflix is getting more and more series and films that appeal to all ages and audiences. I stumbled on this series while looking for something new to watch. I know it is for very young children and I (usually, but not always) prefer adult-oriented series like "Trailer Park Boys" and "BoJack Horseman". Matter of factually, nobody can resist puffins, the adorable clowns of the Northern seas. The series focuses on two baby puffins and their lives with on an island. The animation is flash, but it has a storybook look and aesthetic, that reminds me of the artwork of Mary Blair and Charley Harper. Not only is the animation and characters just adorable, but you also learn about puffins, their lives, and habitats. It cleverly mixes facts about puffins and other animals with simple storytelling, that makes the series very enjoyable for anyone!

This is by far the best kids cartoon I've seen for its intended age group. There are no loud noises or overwhelming bright colors. All the characters are likable and not annoying or obnoxious like so many cartoon characters. The animation is a nice change from the usual CGI and very soft and pretty. The music is charming and peaceful. And what's not to love about puffins and other cute furry creatures? As you know kids like to watch the same cartoons over and over and over, but with this one I don't mind having it on repeat at all. I actually enjoy watching this program with my kids as opposed to just tolerating it.
We love this show. My 3yo is obsessed with watching Una and the gang. He doesn't want to watch anything else lately, and is sad that there are only two seasons. Great work on the animation, the plots are teachable, content is fun and amazingly addicting, and characters become part of your family!

The most charming animation series I've ever seen on Netflix comes from the animators of "The Secret of Kells" and "The Song of the Sea." It is also the first series I've ever seen on Netflix. This series follows two young Atlantic puffins, Oona and her younger brother Baba, as they embark on several adventures on their island home on the Irish coast with their animal pals on land and water.
I'm afraid there is nothing else to say about this series other than that I love little Baba's "Baba-WOO!" So anyway, I found the animation beautiful and the story lighthearted. Overall, I really love this cartoon series.

So nice that a show like this exists...one that educates on animals & nature, and doesn't include bad language or violence. My kids absolutely love it and I love that it focuses so much on family & friendships.

Gorgeous color choice and original animation. Sweet characters, great lessons, fantastic narration by Chris O'Dowd! My 2 1/2 year old daughter absolutely adores the show. We both love the animals and learning about them throughout the show. Great job Ireland for sharing this great show, and Thank you Netflix for having foreign shows such as this, that are not as mindless as some American children shows that I have seen offered!

This is a fab show, I enjoy it as much as my 3 yr old...who's been watching it for a year and still isn't bored with... brighter am I....
It's gentle, funny and non violent...you learn of family, friends about different animals can't recommend enough...just wish they would make more
Chris O'Dowd putting you to sleep while talking about puffins is perfection.
I can only say: thank you.

We absolutely love Puffin Rock! The characters are adorable, the narrator is funny, the voices are soothing (not the least bit annoying) and the music is beautiful. It is honestly a joy to have this show occasionally in the background during our day. My favorite part is that it is also educational. My daughter loves this show!

My little girl absolutely loves this show, she has watched them all repeatedly and keeps asking when there will be new episodes. As well as always asking for Puffin Rock toys, which they do not make.
The show itself is heartwarming and sweet, we all quite enjoy it. Please make more episodes of this wonderful show!

For our 2 year old its the only series that she is enthralled by. The voices, accents and sounds are calm and relaxing as opposed to most of the other kiddies shows. This by far has taught our daughter so many words and concepts. Also great to have the Irish voice of O Dowd and the cute voicees for Una, young baba, mossie and silky. The visuals are easy on the eye and beautifully illustrated. Even the animation is gorgeous and not 3D thankfully
Bring on more like this. Well done to the whole crew on this.

Been watching this with my 2yo, he loves animals and is currently learning words. This show is teaching him a lot of new words (and letting him practice some old favorites like fish). It also helps that the show is appealing to adults too with it's lovely art style and likable characters!

PUFFIN ROCK (2015-2016) is a really cute children's show. A gem among gems. It's really sweet, mellow and pretty enjoyable for any age. Even I, as an adult find it charming and watchable. The art style, the characters, the stories are all so well crafted. There is a definite artististic aesthetic making this series visually appealing, as well as moral and educational teachings throughout. This series is better than the 99% of the other fluff mass produced for children these days. It doesn't rely on flashy, cheap CGI or low brow humor to keep the kids entertained. You don't feel like you're loosing brain cells by watching it. Like a refreshing breath of air.
"Puffin Rock follows the adventures of Oona, her little brother Baba, and their family and friends on a gorgeous and wild Irish island."
Puffin Rock is a quality show, one most adults might find enjoyable as well. Highly recommend this series. Such a great series. We need more like this!

I have no idea what this show is about - but my daughter loves it. Its one of her on and off morning rituals before heading to school. I am usually sitting next to her while shes watching them and she is excited about the characters and seems to be really focused on everything that's happening.
The narration and graphics are great, and are perfect for a kid who is waking up - not too loud or crazy but a storyline for a 6 year old to follow while eating breakfast and adapting to the morning to come. I would recommend this show for anyone with children who are looking for something with wholesome content.
A+

This is my first ever review on imdb and only because this show really deserves it. The colors, the stories, the pacing and most importantly the characters make it really special. This is the only netflix shot that really deserves to be renewed for more seasons.
