Warning: This post contains spoilers for Quiz Lady
The late Paul Reubens had a memorable cameo in Quiz Lady, playing two distinct roles in one scene. Reubens pretends to be mistaken for Alan Cumming by a character in the film and even speaks in Cumming's Scottish accent. Sadly, Quiz Lady was Reubens' final role before his passing on July 30, 2023, at the age of 70 due to cancer.
The late Paul Reubens had a cameo appearance in Quiz Lady, the Hulu comedy starring Sandra Oh and Awkwafina. Reubens entertained the masses during his career. The actor was best known for playing the beloved Pee-wee Herman, but he also had roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Batman Returns, Mystery Men, and The Smurfs. For those not anticipating it, Reubens’ Quiz Lady cameo comes as a nice surprise, and though he has a minor role in it, his brief appearance is quite memorable.

The Warner Animation Group is in negotiations with Tim Story ("Fantastic Four") to direct a new "Tom and Jerry", live-action, animation hybrid feature, among the 'evergreen' Hanna-Barbera cartoon titles the studio controls:

In its original run, Hanna and Barbera produced 114 Tom and Jerry shorts for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer from 1940 to 1958, winning seven Academy Awards (!) for Animated Short Film.
After the MGM cartoon studio closed in 1957, MGM revived the series with Gene Deitch directing an additional 13 "Tom and Jerry" shorts for Rembrandt Films from 1961 to 1962. "Tom and Jerry" then became the highest-grossing animated short film series of that time, overtaking "Looney Tunes".

Will the promise of two new original series next year — based on decades-old toon franchises — help convince people to pay $5 per month for Boomerang’s subscription-video service?
That’s the question Boomerang, the cartoon subscription-streaming service from Turner and Warner Bros., is raising as the one-year-old venture tries to bulk up its direct-to-consumer rolls.
In 2019, Boomerang plans to premiere two new originals: “Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?,” in which the gang teams up with guest stars to solve mysteries, and “Flintstones” spinoff “Yabba-Dabba Dinosaurs!” Both series are being produced by Warner Bros. Animation.
Boomerang also has renewed several existing shows, including “The Tom and Jerry Show” and “Bunnicula,” and has licensed U.S. rights to a British adaptation of “The Wind in the Willows.” In addition, it’s beefing up its product features, adding a fully translated Spanish-language version and support for Android TV devices over Memorial Day weekend.
