There were no practical terrordactyl animatronics in the film. All creatures were 100% computer generated.
The terrordactyl nest building is actually 12 stories shorter than it is the film. The floors were added in post
To clarify: While it's in the sky the proper term is "meteor". Once it touches earth it's a "meteorite ". Contrary to the cast/writers the terms are not interchangeable. Look it up. Minus 2 stars for ignorance.
