This thriller channels Hitchcock is all the right ways. Right from the start you get pulled into the story. With only 15 minutes to tell this story the director manages, perhaps necessarily heavy-handedly, to give you a sense of who these characters are by revealing photos or brief exchanges with the butler. (Of course, the butler. Another throwback to another film era.) And then your sucked in until the final twist.
The scenes were well shot, nice use of classic film style lighting and focus. Fantastic editing, the pacing and juxtaposition keeps your attention to the end.
I was a bit thrown off by the man who I believe was the bartender, no more to say about him without a spoiler.
I enjoyed the film and look forward to seeing more from this team.
