In this miniseries, a man steps into his calling as king, unknowingly inheriting a throne fraught with complications and historical baggage. This premise weaves a compelling tale of corruption, culture, love, family, and duty.

The story is rich, blending mystery with a soap opera-like setup that highlights royal dynamics, melodrama, and supernatural thrills. The lead actors deliver phenomenal performances, and the chemistry between the king and queen is palpable. The series boasts a lavish production, showcasing the vibrant beauty of Yoruba traditions, celebrations, and royal opulence.

One of the series' strengths lies in its ability to keep the audience guessing, with cleverly placed red herrings that maintain intrigue until the end. However, the execution of some supernatural scenes leaves much to be desired. The final sequence, featuring a supernatural spiritual encounter, felt underwhelming. It resembled a stage play, lacking the necessary cuts, stunt work, or immersive visuals to elevate the scene. This misstep momentarily pulled me out of the experience.

Despite its flaws, the series is a visually stunning and engaging exploration of tradition, power, and the supernatural.

Fantastic storyline, top notch character and great cast. I enjoyed every bit of it. The writers did a great job I. Putting this all together, and also not over doing it was done perfectly. Every scene was interesting and all the cast gave in their best. I also enjoyed the mixed culture. And to put the whole story and movie into a complete series whereby you can watch completely and fully understand the message. Talking about passing a message, the movie has a lot of messages being passed and a lot of lessons that needs to be learnt. I give kudos to the writer and to all the actors for bringing their thoughts into action. Good movie to watch.

Femi Adebayo has always been ahead of his time when it comes to filmmaking but this one especially is just too good. The depiction of the 70's is crazily perfect, for a Gen z like myself seeing how amazing the past looks like is an amazing experience. The series is a solid 10/10 More power to your elbow Mr Femi Adebayo.

Your amazing work in the nollywood industry hasn't gone unnoticed. The series is a blend of love, vengeance and just pure heart. The family scenes are soo heartwarming and amazing, while the scenes with the wife will bring you to tears. Lastly all the actors in the series are just too good especially Mr Muyiwa Ademola whose depiction of a proud and obsessed rich man is just too amazing!!
