When Kathy Kaiser reviewed Belleville here at We Are Movie Geeks, she gave it 4 of 5 stars (read her review Here). It’s only been screened a couple of times, but starting September 5th, it will play a regular engagement exclusively at Wehrenberg Theaters. The producers of Belleville are looking for some local talent for their next film and will hold auditions when Belleville plays. Here are the details:
Ted Trent Studios and Circa 87 will hold open call auditions for their new movie shooting in the Midwest next summer. The film, which is still untitled, will center on the theme of sports. The auditions will take place at 13 Wehrenberg Theatres during the first two nights of the run of Belleville, the locally-shot movie about a farmer and his friendship with an out-of-this-world stranger.
“We are so excited to find more talent in the Midwest,” says Ted Trent, the star and producer of Belleville.

Hitting the Big Screen in the town it’s named after, local film producer Ted Trent brings to life his character and the best that “the town” has to offer with his new independent film – Belleville
As we meet a strange and disoriented Neila, (played by Ted Trent) he is confronted by a mean spirited woman by the name of Arlene (played by Copper Shaw). Neila makes his way to the home of local farmer, turned recluse Willie (played by Tim O’Leary), who isn’t sure what to think of Neila, and his peculiar behavior, but is enjoying his company just the same. Neila makes his way about town, engaging the locals who notice his extraordinary abilities, as they too begin to question like Arlene, what is this Neila person really all about.
Realizing that his friend Willie is in great pain over the unexpected death of his wife,...
