Goofs

When Deacon fights Nick in the streets, he is wearing a hussar jacket. When he arrives at Jackie's house just after the fight, he is wearing a fur coat. When he talks to Jackie, he is in the hussar jacket again.

The Unholy Masquerade occurs on 6 June 2013, depicted as a full moon night in Wellington. In reality, the moon there was a waning crescent that night.

During Nick's trial when Vladislav (Clements) is talking to Viago (Waititi), Vlad visibly breaks character and smiles, then quickly returns to a straight face.

It's a conditioned reflex. They are being documented by a crew. Everybody smiles when facing a camera. Actors are trained to stifle this, vampires are not.

At the Unholy Masquerade, the camera pans from a packed dance floor to a large mirror which shows only Stu dancing as a single zombie claps along to the music - except that all the witches, banshees, and other zombies should also be reflected.

Intentional goofs: Please don't submit "mistakes" that were clearly intended by the filmmakers, for humorous purposes or otherwise.

At the beginning of the movie, Vladislav says Viago was an 18th-century dandy before becoming a vampire. If Viago was 379 years old in 2013, that means he was born in 1634, more than a century before the appearance of dandies.

Somebody had to be first. When Vladislav said Viago was an 18th-century dandy, he said it in 2013. Not in 1634.

Around 10 minutes in, the vampires draw pictures of each other to show how their clothing looks because their images don't reflect in the mirror. While the vampires themselves wouldn't show up, their clothing should. Since the cup one vampire is holding does show in the mirror, proximity to the vampire's body shouldn't be a factor.
